Outside of the nicer restaurants you can almost always expect the temp to be wrong when dining out during a restaurant's rush. I spent plenty of time cooking in my younger days so I've seen it all and know how it goes back there. For me, it's just not worth spending the money when I know I can do it equally well or better myself.I always ask the server if the current cooks tend to under cook it just a little or over cook it a little. Of course most of the time they say cook it spot on but I keep prodding.
