Slightly off-topic - Anybody remember Mike Pfeifer? Was he OL or DL? He was a big talent derailed by injury.

Probably Bob Gain he won the Outland trophy in 1950 I believe. Then I'd probably go with Warren Bryant, he was a 1st, 2nd and 3rd team All-American during his time here.

Agree with you and Teoj. Gain, Bryant, and Dawson (probably in that order, as well) would make my top 3 all-time UK OL.

Warren Bryant was a great college football player. Dermonti was a great pro player. Biggest that never panned out was Doug Williams. Number 1 rated OL in the country out of Moeller, would have been 5 star if they had them then. Massive athletic but never showed potential. Left for Texas A&M I believe and ended up in NFL for a while.

Larry warford was the best oline i remember since 96.Dont want to hijack the thread, i'm curious what names the dline would be... I started following in 96 and the first couple years are sort of fuzzy in my memory..

1.D Robertson
2.C Peters.

Jordan Swindle
Aka. The worst I've ever seen to recieve quality minutes. He's a walking drive killer. I feel like he's been starting in this OL forever, year after year, just killing drives left and right with his ability to jump too early and hold defensive lineman. Have never disliked a UK player more than swindle except maybe towles. Worst to ever don the blue and white, yet we stil throw him out there as if he can do something positive and not kill drives. Whyd you have to bring his name up?

LOL! You must be young. You forgot some guys named Art Still, Oliver Barnett, Jerry Reese. But I will give you Peters, who is another great 1. I was an admirer of Jeremy Jarmon too.

Lou Michaels(DL) Never lost to Tennessee. Ask Johnny Majors, runner-up in Hiesman voting.

Todd Perry played about 11 years for the Bears and Dolphins. Most of those seasons he was a starter.

He was a big boy - 6'7 and 310 back when guys were not over 300 lbs and had the biggest booty ever on a white kid. Was a Playboy AA after his junior year and never took that hat off!

Are you insinuating that he's played well for us?

Not at all, just saying you shouldn't always be insulting players that I believe aren't trying to fail and apparently are the best we have when you probably couldn't carry their jockstrap. Are you 6' 5", over 300#, and played P5 football, or were you an All American scatback?

I've heard a lot of great stories about Michaels, they said he single handedly beat UT one year.

Don't remember Lou playing offensive line. Could have, he played linebacker, tackle and some end on defense. Lou was a absolute headhunter and I heard Jonny Majors say "Lou Micheals is the only player I was scared of!"

Any of you old guys remember the whole stadium yelling "kill em Bubba" when he'd break through for a sack!
