I just got a text from a buddy of mine who is at the game and he told me our 3rd baseman has already made 3 errors through 3 innings. Who is starting at 3rd today, and why cant our infielders make routine plays like other SEC starting infielders????

Vickerson... You know, one of those Cohen players that was brought in for defense. He may be worse than Sneed and Butler combined in the field.

Well if Polk's players were run off before this year, our team would be hitting around .240 like most of Cohen's JUCOS and first year position players. If Polk's players had been run off, we'd be much, much worse, if that's possible.

I get that he won at UK, but he didn't sustain it over a long period of time. Kind of like a lot of these basketball coaches (Stan Heath) that get one great crop of players, make one great run, and people think they are that kind of coach that will do that consistently. C34 always says 2004 ain't coming back for Stansbury, well maybe 2006 ain't coming back for John Cohen

At the time of your post, Vickerson had committed ONE error. We have committed only 2 errors as a teamplaying through 6-1/2 innings. Vickerson had sometough plays that he could have possibly made, but they were ruled hits.
With that said...we still suck!!!!

but his first was ruled a hit and there is no way he should have missed it. I want to say his third error was a throwing error, but the whole game is one big error in my memory so I'm not sure.

his fielding percentage is below .900. Butler could have played better defense at third, but that would have left frost at second. No matter what lineup we put out there, there is going to be a bad spot in the infield.
