I am curious what MSU's overall record,SEC record, rpi and strength of schedule are each year till today. 2004 included so everyone can see just how far we have fallen from that #2 seed. We were almost a #1 seed that year too.

But instead we lost the second round (1st game for us) to an inferior Vandy team, that out-hustled us. We played like we could care less to be in that game. Sounds eerily familiar.

If Sidney leaves after this season, who are we going to blame next year for our poor play and lack of team chemistry? Probably Wendell Lewis.

He was one of our harder playing players (not saying much) and led the SEC in double doubles. Just saying

if half his SEC games were against top 12 teams, and half of the rest were against top 25 teams? It damn sure wouldn't be 54%.

I've seen multiple people blame Kodi and/or Ravern for some of our problems in the past; while the players come and go, but the problems remain.

that's actually not as bad as I thought it was. Can anyone do the rpi and strength of schedule? It looks like Stansbury is stuck in bubble land. He is able to field a consistent bubble team every year and every 3-4 years it's slightly better or slightly worse than bubble territory. Mississippi State basketball is a bubble.

a major sport is a major sport. My comment was just a comment though, nothing more. I'm as dismayed by our team as anyone else.

this is why we are not making the tournament. The OOC has to be amped up way more than ever. We have to be playing a top 25 schedule strength. We can't dodge the tough games anymore. It's not helping MSU it's hurting us every year. The SEC is not a strong enough conference to get us help.

has been 8th or lower in the SEC 6 of the last 7 years.

Losing games we shouldnt + weak schedule = constant NCAA bubble (even with 20 wins a season)

Next year will be a "rebuilding" year. We're losing 3 of our starting 5. We're also losing some of the white guys that take depth spotsonly to play the impotant role of clean up in blowouts in the final seconds. There's always an excuse.

We should schedule ZERO games against teams likely to be sub-200 in RPI, and over half of our OOC should be against teams likely to be in the top 100. If we'd done that this year, we probably would have been comfortably in the tournament even with our late collapse, unless we lost a bunch of them.
