long time ago then. Wonder if he was a 27 point favorite over a foe and got his tail kicked while losing his team the game? What is the over/under on Heisman poses he did?
Well it's not like I actually took the time to research each Winner just happen to know that one off hand.

I believe UK was awarded the Natl. Championship by the "sagarin rating system"!!!
Yes that is correct but 50 years later, heck Jeff Sagarin wasn't even born in 1950. Tennessee and Princeton both were name Natinal Champs by other groups in 1950. UK finished 7th in the final polls after they lost to Tennessee.

The SEC has had 12 Heisman winners in history. In the year the player won the Heisman, UK lost to them 8 times and didn't play the other 4 years.

So it looks like Lamar Jackson is the only Heisman winner we have beaten in the year of their award.

1942 UGA Frank Sinkwich Lost 7-6 (played @ Louisville)
1959 LSU Billy Cannon Lost 9-0 @Stoll Field
1966 Florida Steve Spurrier DNP
1971 Auburn Pat Sullivan Lost 38-6 @Auburn
1982 UGA Herschel Walker Lost 27-14 @CWS
1985 Auburn Bo Jackson DNP
1996 Florida Danny Wuerffel Lost 65-0 @UF
2007 Florida Tim Tebow Lost 45-37 @CWS
2009 Alabama Mark Ingram Lost 38-20 @CWS
2010 Auburn Cam Newton Lost 37-34 @CWS
2012 Texas A&M Johnny Manziel DNP
2015 Alabama Derrick Henry DNP

We may have beaten some of those guys in their non-Heisman years? I do remember we had Wuerffel beat until a last second pass one year. The 2007 Florida game was a great shootout between Tebow (4 TD passes) and Woodson (5 TD passes). We came close against Cam Newton in 2010; UK's Hartline (23 of 28 passing) outplayed Newton, plus Randall Cobb running/passing, and Trevathan game leading 10 tackles.
