Who will be favored this week and what will that spread be?

I'm thinking Nebraska favored by 2.5 to 4.5. I could also see Iowa favored but I think Nebraska will be the favorite.

Either way, it will be a great game that comes down to a possession.

I would think Iowa would be because you beat Michigan and TA is doubtful. That being said the experts will favor the Huskers.

Tv announcers said Nebraska had only a 40% chance of beating Iowa. I expect Iowa to be favored by a little.
That was ESPNs power rating.

It has been 35 years, since Iowa last won in Iowa City in this series.

I think Neb has a 1 point Sagarin edge which means Iowa will be a 1-2 point favorite.

I listened to the first part of the game on the radio and the announcers brought up the energy level of the players being low with it being senior day. They talked about how the player are just with family 20 minutes before the game and are very emotional and it is hard to get that energy back up in a short amount of time. In this series, the visiting team has won every game since Nebraska joined the B1G. Each of those losses being at home were on senior days for both teams. How much of an effect do you guys think this has and would the spread reflect that at all?

I also think the game time is a major factor in this game. An 11 am kickoff, I could see Nebraska by 3-5, a night game I can see Iowa by 3-5, but a 2:30 kickoff I see being a pick em type game (however I do think Nebraska is a touchdown better this year for some reason). I think Nebraska has the edge in Offense and a very slight edge on Defense but Iowa is head and shoulders above in Special Teams. Maybe Bruce Read wont make the trip.

Sounds about right. You guys have home field advantage and our best player is doubtful. Should be a good ol' slobber knockerfest though. Good luck to both teams, No hate needed.

i get the indifference talk .. however the first step in achieving consistent national relevance is to stop being Iowa ... heck some could argue we have some catching up to do before we are on par with Iowa in present day college football

Agreed; the hate is all on their side. But to be fair, when a program's resume consists of perrenial 7-5 seasons and 1 major bowl victory in the last 50 years, their bitterness is easy to understand.

Im going to say Iowa -1.5 but that is a guess.

Problem is they might not put out an official betting line until they know TA status

Iowa already will not be starting their best WR, a starting corner back, and a starting O-lineman.

Please tell me you aren't firing up the excuse train this early before the game is played.
Both teams have injured players.
Two starting OL, the starting TE, and a starting safety as well.
