Backed up by Preston Smith and John Harris. Its pretty much going to be a one man show. Eulls is a DT.

Why would he drop down to DT? Not saying he can't.... but he's a good strong side end to line up opposite of Autry with Boyd and Jones/Virges on the inside.

I think Eulls willdo what Fletcher did this year and move around and play every spot on the line. We've got some depth at DT, so I see Eulls being primarily a DE.

I think you will see us mix and match at DE a ton in the early games. We've got7 guys I think that will play at DE this year. Eulls, Autry, Preston Smith, McCardell, John Harris, Stigersand Harrison-Gaycould all see sometime in early nonconference. Autry and Eulls I think will see the majority of the time there, but someonelikeSmith, Harris, or Harrison-Gaycouldget somesolid reps if they can step it up during the summer. I'm hoping at least one of them shows some breakout potential to be aquality backup.

Stigers has left the team, and Harrison-Gay will slide inside. We needed Ward for depth and developement, if we dont land Jefferson we didnt really fill out need for the future at DE

than football players. Maybe that is the case with McCardell. Unless he makes a lot of strides in the offseason I will be surprised if he starts. Would not be surprised if Preston Smith, with another year of conditioning and a spring under his belt doesn't challenge for a starting spot if Eulls is moved inside.

we already have Ryan Brown, Torrey Bell and Nelson Adams committed as what should be HS DEs and I assume they are all higher on our board at that position than Jefferson since they have offers and it seems like with Jefferson we are trying to see if we are going to have room or not. And we already have Nick James, Quay Evans and Jordan Washington coming in as HS DTs. I really think though that the ONLY HS DE on our board that we would have liked for significant playing time next year would have been Ward, all these others including Jefferson (if we get him) will likely RS.

He played the first game at Memphis, but nothing else. Possible medical redshirt??

I had high hopes for McCardell coming into the season but he just doesn't make much of an impact. Guess that's why they looked at moving him to TE last year.

I picture Jefferson as being more of a LB prospect - a lot like Skinner. Seems undersized to be a DE... I could be wrong. If Evans & James are actually here come August, I don't see any reason we move Eulls to DT. We'll be stacked there with Boyd, Virges, Devin & PJ Jones, Cherrington, plus the new freshmen. May even see ones of the Jones move out to DE.

Nelson is a DT but hearing he might not make it because of grades.
Also, Torrey Bell could play LB. Someone on 247 said he is KJ Wright 2.0.

if Adams is a DT then it sounds like we've sort of gone overkill on DTs with 4. Second, if Adams is not going to make it academically then not sure what the hold up is in trying to reel in Jefferson.

Autry will hold down one DE spot. At the other I can see us using Eulls and Preston Smith depending on how much we use Eulls at DT.

I think our starting dline (we will move guys around a lot like this year) will be Autry, Boyd, Eulls, and Smith. You have Virges, PJ Jones, Cherington, Devin Jones, and harrison-gay at DT plus any freshmen we may sign. At DE you would have McCardell, Harris, Eulls, and Devin Jones could slide out to DE. Hell after thinking about it because of depth at DE, I think Eulls will be used primarily as a DE unless I am forgetting some names.
