2 options - Devon Desper plays center or move Ben Beckwith over and Jamal Clayborn is coming back.

Can Desper snap it?

or make the calls? Can Beckwith? I say work Muniz hard before you rearrange the line. The less moves you have to make the better.

Any chance Mullen looked into his crystal ball and saw this possibly coming down this week - which was the reason he put in a backup at the end of the LSU game? I'm still trying to understand that move.

Desper was rated the 4th best center in the nation in 2012 according to Espn.

I think the chances of us winning our

Next game are improving by the minute. Hell, I'm ready to strap on a uniform.

....is Archie Muniz. He did very well in the Spring and Fall practices. Yes, he had the bad snap at LSU, but I think he is a viable option. My guess is that he doesn't make that mistake again.

Same. Has really fired up the us vs the world mentality in me -- and I'm generally not a conspiracy theorist.

Every single thing under SEC control that "could" go wrong for us since the win has gone wrong...

Whoever it is, I'm glad it's a home game and they won't have to call blocks and snap the ball with crowd noise. Assuming that some of the bell ringers don't forget we're on offense.

I think Beckwith has practiced at center. I could be wrong.

Beckwith is supposedly the backup center for Day. Maybe Mullen was experimenting with Muniz at center at BR. Feel for him on that play. Some reason, so far it does not seem like Desper is in the center rotation. Don't know why?

Muniz. He made a terrible mistake at a terrible time. Put yourself in his situation now. Would you, as a trained athlete, make that same mistake again? I'm gonna give the guy a break and have confidence that he can do the job.

practice son, practice.

Desper was dominant at center in high school. Hopefully Heavesy introduced the idea of pass blocking to him, because Bawby Hawwlllll is against the forward pass.

Bobby threw some passes last year when he had a QB and some receivers. I was surprised.

Desper isn't playing center for us. He hasn't practiced there in quite some time I don't believe. It was a distinct reason he was moved -- but I don't recall what it was...

Pretty confident in it being Beckwith backed by Muniz -- and if something happened to Beckwith, it would probably be Clayborn. Both Clayborn and Beckwith have practiced at C at times. I just don't think Muniz can be "the guy". Not even for a single game...

It's the ultimate troll job - Mullen is a genius.

1. Dillon steps on players; Dan figures he'll get suspended.
2. Hey Archie! Get your *** in there! And snap one over the head of Dak on purpose (note he snapped it high the first snap too)
3. ?? ??
4. Profit!

Muniz is the new secret weapon

I remember hearing back in the spring that basically nobody after Day was consistent snapping the ball in the shotgun formation and Beckwith was the next best option. Maybe Desper had a mental issue like the catcher from Major League 2?

Definitely. The team is really rallying around this Dillon day issue. My only issue (albeit, very small issue), is I wish Mullen would have publicly made a bigger deal out of it. These are the kinda of thing teams rally around.

I'm not condoning unsportsmanlike behavior, but everything in those videos was left open for interpretation... And the fact that this whole deal has been, at best, questionable could potentially rally our team.

That's no reason to sub in your entire 2nd string OL.

As others have said, I don't think Desper is even considered an option at C. Most likely we'll move Beckwith and start Clayborn at G. Muniz may be listed as our 2nd string center, but I don't really think he's our best option behind Day.
