I don't know how much they charge for ads on the jumbotron, but what if they took the total amount they received for advertisements and divided it up by the number of tickets they sell, add however much it may be and do away with the stupid ads. It hardly seems like a college football game at times and does nothing for our momentum. May sound stupid, but I'm just thinking out loud.

This. And I bought a Polk's sausage dog today. I am now waiting for them to tell me when I'll be recognized on the field during a timeout.

I just ignore the ads, don't even glance that way except for time remaining, down/yards and score but all the field recognitions are way out of hand.

I'd take maroon/white cheers all day long over the lame commercials. Even if they're lame or not, I don't like them in the middle of a college football game. Show them all pregame or halftime.

Does the Athletic Department control the ads?

I thought we got this huge deal for the jumbo screen, in return for which the company that built it got advertising revenue for some period of years. That may have expired by now, and I'm sure many of you know the details far better than me, but the university may have little to do with the number of ads at this point.

No ****. I couldn't believe the amount of schlepping going on between plays...I am, however, offended that I was one of about 5 people who didn't get to go down and stand in the endzone, shake Stricklin's hand, or wave on the jumbotron today.
