You never did say you would take Stansbury over Gottfried. If I had to pick between the two, I go with Stansbury all day long.

He's definitely dumb, but not because he asked this question, and is likely one of 23 people who have voted for Stans.

Is there a way for us to see who has voted DS? Or is a number all we get?

between coaches for rivals on one team's message board...who in the hell does he think everybody is going to choose? Ask it on the Kentucky or Tennessee message board to get some real results

While Rick may not be a Coack K (yet), he has developed into a very solid coach in most areas. Too bad most of you don't have access to Tider Insider, as I do (well, I live in AL, so have to spy on them, plus a lot of solid info). As I was listening to Jack boradcast game over M2M last evening I kept almost constant scroll of TI. Those Bama fans are totally fed up with Got-fried and are almost all clamoring for his demise at end of year. Incidently, they HATE MSU basketball, and especially Rick on that board (Example: "Well, looks like $tansfield bought another pretty good team at M$U"). A friend told me I would learn to loath UAT as much as OM after living here for awhile, and that is correct. We don't need Got-Fried (or anything else uat). We have the coach we need.

then by all means you should take that question to their boards and poll them.

large degree than Gottfried would get at least 15-20% of the votes.

I mean, if you posted a "Croom or Nutt" poll here a few montsh ago I would imagine Nutt getting well more than 20% of the votes, rivals be damned.

I put it on a Tulane board... While it's not as busy as an SEC board, I figured it would give us some unbiased answers, especially since I kept the names off the accomplishments....

If you are interested, you can see any results here.

That means Coach34 and some other idot.

And coach, Yes I expected Stans to win because this is a State board but as you can see it is a beyond bias majority of people that disagree with you.......again.

i'd like to see that put on Tenn, Kentucky's, or Fla's board without the names and see what the outcome is.

Actually, there are quite a few differences when looking at the last 10 years since both have been a head coach in the SEC...

Stans has a:
Better overall record
Better conference record
More division titles, which you may put down but I'll take any day of the week
More conference tournament titles
Better head-to-head record

Gottfried has:
Better record in NCAAs (5-5 compared to Stansbury's 4-5)
A trip past the second round

But what if A can only recruit ACT 23 or higher? What if A's teams have to practice outdoors with nerf balls? What if A has no gym and plays every game on the road? OK, that's all exaggerated, but the point is, you haven't revealed what other factors might demonstrate that one would be expected to be much more capable when given the advantages I am about to offer. If B's program spends $25 million a year, whereas A compiled a very similar result on $1 million a year, I would opt for the better monetary value.

Do we want to start applying the "x-factors" to the equation?

"but as you can see it is a beyond bias majority of people that disagree with you.......again."

The majority disagreed with me that we would not make the Sweet 16 in 2003
The majority disagreed with me that we would not make the Sweet 16 in 2004
The majority disagreed with me that we would start 1-8 in the SEC in 2005
The majority disagreed with me that we wouldnt make the NCAA's in 2006
The majority disagreed with me that we should have run the Spread in 2004-2006
The majority disagreed that Crooms would never have an offense worth a **** no matter how long he recruited
The majority disagreed that we would fire Crooms in 2008
The majority disagreed that EJ was a better DC than Cheese would be

The majority doesnt always determine that something is or isnt correct

the fact that everyone is voting for Stansbury and you take that one line and obviously it proves your point is quite funny.

He got to choose his preferred method of polling and is getting torched, so now all of THOSE people are stupid too. You back up faster than a crawdad Coach.

Someone go post it on NAFOOM and/or Spirit. That may be Coach's only prayer.

Stansbury in a walk. Besides, he's a Kentucky boy.

is that it's Stansbury's fault we had to play them in the 2nd round.

My response is - Memphis annhilated every other team in the tournament except us, and the team that finally got them, Kansas. That was anyone's game with 5 minutes left. I imagine Michigan State would have taken that result over what happened to them, being down 30 in the first half.

How is that not a credit to Stansbury for having us ready to play and competing to the final minutes with a team that was barely challenged all season? Only Coach can find a way to rip Stansbury for it.

What's your excuse for this answer?

Face it, you and the Gottfried family are about the only ones who would choose him over Stansbury.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them would choose Stans too.
