I am going to go way out on a limb** and take Jose Bautista over Adrian Gonzalez in the finals.

He has won it before, and you already picked Batista, so I'm going to be different.

I hope Matt Holliday wins it.

Cant even remember one ever competing, unless Utley slipped in, or maybe Brett Boone or Jeff Kent back in the day(I realize that wasnt exactly back in the day)

Gonna say Fielders homer pick(pun intended) pays off and Weeks wins it. Hope so, leaving him useless in the 2nd half.

I read the majority of the trade deadline thread but couldnt post at the time. Not gonna bump it back to the front page. Dont remember if it was you or Missouri that projected the Rasmus trade, but wouldnt surprise me in the least. Bernie has a great article on him. If you get a chance I encourage the Cards fans to read. http://www.stltoday.com/s...0-a1b3-001a4bcf6878.html

I think he has the swing and approach that fits a HR Derby best. I've always enjoyed the HR Derby despite Chris Berman.

Pretty bush league by Fielder to select Weeks over Upton when it is in Arizona and Upton is known for his moon shots. <div>
</div><div>I am hoping for an Upton/Stanton showdown next year. </div>

My thought on the article is this:

I don't have a problem with Rasmus turning to his Dad for advice on hitting. That actually happens a lot more than people probably think. It makes sense in a way because who knows a player better than their parents? One reason McGwire got the job in the first place was because several players were turning to him for advice in the offseason anyway- that's not much different to me than someone going to his Dad for advice.

I do have a problem with him criticizing LaRussa on a Internet mb. The Cardinals should manage that better.

If the Cardinals trade Rasmus, I would like to see them get a player that has some power for him rather than another pitcher. Getting 20 home runs with a .250 average is still very productive from a MLB CF even if he isn't reaching his maximum potential.
