Of all the things you have ever written...

Ole Miss is favored by 3, which is remarkable when you think about it. If that scores sounds familiar, that’s what Vandy beat Ole Miss by last season en route to winning its last seven games, the longest current SEC winning streak.

Did you ever think you'd type that about Vanderbilt?

I'm not going to make any predictions but I'm not sure if this is not the most

important game the Bears have played in quite some time. As you point out, lose it and the potential for an epic meltdown is at hand. The front end of their schedule is tough. On our front I think you have it about right, I just don't think we will be able to score enough points to win against OSU. OSU usually starts the year off very hot and cools later in the year, we are not catching them at a good time.

Those picks look pretty good. I don't think the USC-UNC game will be that close though.

I don't really get why Ole Miss is favored. Ole Miss returns 18 starters

and Vandy returns 17. Vandy beat them last year in Oxford. I can see Ole Miss winning but I think the line should be Vandy, -2 or so.

On a side note, Rick, do you remember when your son bloodied my dad's face in a batting cage?

Ole Miss has lost 5 out of last 7 to Vandy. I see that continuing. But if they win - watch out. They will be an 8 win team.

I expect both Ole Miss and Oklahoma State to win by at least 2 TDs.

I don't. I think UM-Vandy is a tossup and MSU will cover the spread, but lose, to OSU.

Pretty good analysis. I think OM-Vandy will be that close, but Vandy wins it

Someone posted on here a while back about State - OSU game that would be straight out of Bulldog lore, with the final being 45-24 Cowboys. I tend to agree with how that one plays out.
I think USM blows Texas State out and hangs at least 40.
Alcorn State will have no problem with Edward Jones.
JSU and Tulane are an intriguing matchup, but I see the Green Wave winning by 24 or more.
The Rattlers will handle Valley State by 14 or more.

I do think this is a huge game momentum wise for my Rebels and believe that OM can beat Vandy soundly but Vandy is in the somewhat of the same boat so it could just as easily be a loss. I really think y'all match up better with OK State than a lot of people believe and if y'all can survive the initial surge they bring you will win or it will be very close. OK State won't like it when y'all hit them in the mouth and keep coming.

OSU and lay the points.....OM and lay the points....LSU and lay the points. That's three for free. I don't follow those other teams in games you mention and know nothing about them.

I expect both Ole Miss and Oklahoma State to win by at least 2 TDs.

I can see a Bo Wallace pick late in the 4Q that seals it for the Dores. Vandy 27 - Bears 23. Meanwhile in Houston, LDP has 22 carries for 130 yards and TR has three TDs leading the Dogs over the Boys. Something along the lines of a 35-31 type of deal. Hey - at least I can dream it-

Georgia/Clemson game will be a lot higher scoring game than that. Both teams are likely to be in the 30's. I'd pick GA 45-38. Unfortunately, I think OM wins 34-21.

Hey Rick, what do you think about WKU/UK?

I think that's one of the more intriguing matchups this weekend, even if it's not high-profile.

UGA will win this game. Florida will not cover against Toledo. Vandy on the ML. Bama rolls like they always do. LSU will cover the frogs. No comment on State.
