Over the last decade, we had a great center in Fontenot, then Bentley was fine, then Faine was fine, then Goodwin wasfine, Here's hoping Matt Tennantis OK now.

How cool would this interior of the O-Line hadbeen though with this guy perhaps being on the market since Chris Spencer and JC Brignone are now fighting for his oldjob in Chicago?

I really wish we could have kept Jon Goodwin, he was a very a good center and now we have to go back to an unproven. San Fran just offered more that the Saints could pay. I believe Bushrod, Nicks, Goodwin, Evan and Stinchcomb have started every game for the last two seasons and it was nice to have that consistency.

That being said, the Saints have quietly done a great job signing free agents. Getting Sproles was big. I honestlybelieve he will end up being more valuable thanReggie because he understands the role he is supposed to play. Now that the Saints don't have to take the $16M cap hit from Reggie they were able to sign a beast at DT in Aubrayo Franklin. With Sedrick Ellis, Shaun Rogers and Aubrayo Franklin at DT the Saints are going to be very strong against the run this year.

They just signed Braylon Edwards and if Crabtree gets healthy to go along with Vernon Davis then Alex Smith may finally have a group of guys to throw to. Hell just getting rid of Croo...err.....Singletary was a huge step forward.

As a Niner fan, I didn't feel they upgraded much. Unless some of the rookies on both lines excel, they have a tough road ahead of them. They are lucky they are in the division they are in becausetheirOOC games are killer.<div>
</div><div>They got rid of Nate Clemons, who was good, just not worth the money. Gore seems fragile nowadays. Alex Smith is awful and has to learn another system on top of that. Harbaugh, while projected to be successful, still hasn't coached a game. Vernon is a bit like Randy Moss, shows up when he wants to. Braylon Edwards is adefiniteupgrade, but seems to have baggage with him. They did manage to get Carlos Rodgers though. The Niners had anopportunityto do some big things in free agency and really drugtheirfeet.<div>
</div><div>Its gonna be a dogfight between SF, Miami, Carolina, and Seattle for Andrew Luck. </div> </div>
