Maybe we could stop turning the ball over so carelessly as well?

I was trying to think if I've seen any other team lose somebody on a hamstring. Anybody?

Stretching, hydration, and nutrition? No other team in the tournament seems to have this many hamstring injuries.

Do you

honestly believe we didn't maintain a strict diet while training, stretch, or drink water?

I highly doubt our guys just left Shoney's breakfast buffet 10 minutes prior to the match and threw on their jerseys, pants, and boots.

i am trying my hardest not to be one of those "i told you so" guys....heaven knows we have enough of them on this board already, but we were outclassed the entire time in this tournament...even in our lone win. i will resist the urge, but you were warned.

one thing i recommend you "we can winners" to do is keep watching. pick a team (mine is germany) and keep watching. maybe in 4 years after watching what a world class team truly looks like, some of our experts will be a bit better informed next time. 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses....not even close guys...and the lone win, we most likely should have lost. we have a HUGE gap go close.

i encourage the casual fan to keep watching and learn. its pretty remarkable to see some of the better teams hit their stride. sooner or later, we will field a team worthy of the US mantle, but we are currently far from that. a bunch of our goals were scored by those that primarily speak german....let that sink in. JK pretty much looked at our roster and said we need to start from scratch...with a bunch of people that arent american in the traditional sense. i have all faith that if we focused our athletic prowess, we would produce a team that is easily one of the better in the world, but like i originally said, with mlb, nba, nfl, and others interfering by claiming some of the elite talent, its hard to show the world we belong. we do, the world just doesnt know it yet. hell of an effort by tim howard...even with the best goal keeper performance this half of a century, we were wildly outskilled by a team from Belgium that boasts a population roughly the size of ohio. sad really, but we will keep getting better.

When Altidore pulled up... I was pissed at the trainers. When Besler pulled up... I was pissed at the trainers. When BEDOYA pulled up....... I was again pissed at the trainers.

When the other X players pulled up, I started to realize that it was because we were getting beat on D like a bunch of really D-inept dogs. We had one of the worst possession figures of all the 32 teams. That includes Korea, Japan, and some war torn Middle East countries.

I'm not sure the #1 D in the NFL wouldn't have a bunch of ACL injuries if their offense wasn't able to hold the football for 20% of the time in the Super Bowl.

We need some youth in the midfield and back 4, which is something Klinsmann is actively trying to include. Our 30 year olds couldn't make a first step on the ball.

Proud of the team. A lot to he happy about. But it wasn't the trainers. Read any soccer blog across the world... Even the soccer fan base that hates us most in the world considers us to have the #1 facilities in the world (it's not Mexico, because that 5th world country doesn't have the means for even a loosely based organization to talk **** about us).

Not

that I'm admitting the trainers were to blame for the injuries, but I would think the coaches had more to do w that (scheduling)

that I'm admitting the trainers were to blame for the injuries, but what part did they (trainers) play in the pre-cup warmup scheduling again?

Every team in the world played a warmup schedule. Most played a more rigorous schedule than ours. Portugal played Ireland (and was the last team to fly to Brazil). Mexico played Bosnia. That's a cop out.
