I’ve actually watched the 2nd half. First action I’ve watched all tourney. ARG has looked liked the better team to me but I know nothing about nothing.

They have been. The England goal came out of nothing.

Lionel Messi is the 17ing GOAT. And still one of the best players in the world. I don’t care what L4 says. He is the best ever.
I never said he wasn't the best ever. In fact I DID say he is the GOAT. He is not the best in the world now though. He plays in MLS. He knows even if you don't. Fanboys are tiresome.

I know nothing about soccer, but they’ve just been lazily standing around for last 20+ minutes. Strange
They went full on defense. As soon as they put 5 at the back they had no threat at all going forward. They invited Argentina to do exactly what they did. It didn't work. That was crazy.

I know he’s not the best in the world now. But you have been saying over and over that Messi is over the hill and washed up because he plays in MLS. That is clearly not the case. He is a top 25 player in the world RIGHT NOW. At age 39. He is not old and washed up. He’s still elite.

Seems like there's been a crazy number of stoppage time goals. Although I dont watch enough futbol to know if its crazy or not.

I could see it with a 2 goal lead, but it made no sense up 1 goal on the defending champs.

I don’t understand what Tuchel was thinking. England has outstanding attacking talent but as soon as they scored, they went super defensive, like they were Burnley trying to hold a lead against Man City. It was a cowardly decision and they deservedly lost.

He was very clearly the focus for England whenever he touched the ball. Moreso than any other player on the field for either team. That makes it pretty clear what kind of player he is today.

He's been the GOAT and still is on the world stage. No other player has had as big an impact for his team and in this World Cup. I'm sure Argentina would take him over Kane, Dembele, Mbappe, Yamal and maybe even Haaland. Dude occupies defenders when he's not scoring.

It clearly is the case or he wouldn't be in MLS. That's just a fact of soccer life. He can't preform at this level over a European club season, not even in Spain. He knows that, so do the clubs, that's why he is in MLS. I don't get why you are so defensive about this. A lot of greats have come here to take retirement gigs and maybe keep their hand in for a last WC appearance. Nothing wrong with that. Watch how he plays now too. He is brilliant, in short spurts. He mostly walks. It works in international soccer, not so much at the top
levels of the game.

Argentina definitely has the clutch gene about them.

But I think Spain is taking them down on Sunday.

I think it helps that he’s fresher from his club season than all the players that have been playing in Europe. The MLS season only started in February and they don’t play nearly the quantity of games as the European sides do, who basically are full blast from August to May with minimal breaks.

Tell me you know nothing about greatness without saying you know nothing about greatness.
