going to a friends house for this circus...with the way race relations are going in this country this fight and the people in the arena might actually be in danger of attacking each other

Had a friend offer to host a viewing of the fight and nobody would commit to driving over to watch it there, for free.
Have not paid for a ppv fight in 15 years.

I don't watch fights because men should love each other as Christ instructed in John 13. Not punch each other in the face while the drunks shovel over their money. :)

I'd be more concerned with hardcore UFC vs hardcore boxing fans as both are pretty rabid.

Most bars can't afford it. The cost is $30 per occupancy. If your occupancy says 150 you are $4500 deep before you open the doors.

A lot of bars will hedge that though with a cover. I wouldn't mind getting the fight. I think Mayweather is just going to toy with Conor, but I'd like to see the disaster it is going to be.

Terribly insensitive and racist of Justin Bieber unfollowing Floyd on Instagram, that might get the crowd in a hostile mood and start fighting each other.

I'm going to the local Fox and Hound that also is one of the local Husker watch sites. There's a $25 cover, but a "free" buffet which, based on history, is pretty good.

Not me.
Mayweather is going to destroy him.
McGregor makes people who hate Mayweather root for Mayweather.

Might be worth watching if McGregor gets tired of getting lit up while boxing and starts fighting.
Supposedly there is a contact clause that if he does, he doesn't get paid. But I don't believe it.
This looks like a fix.

The Mouth enters $$$'s world. I don't believe the Mouth will beat a boxer.
I can't justify giving my $ to this WWE circus.

Why would you ask which one to root for?
You can ignore it instead of virtue signaling.

We need to stop trying to act like things are something that they are not.
I'm done with this pc gone wild stupidass stuff.

Fact is, we all get along in the real world.
People still treating people like people regardless of the manufactured hate you see on social media and cnn.

It is not real life.
And I'm just about done with it.

I am not watching this fight BUT if Terrence Crawford can get a bout with the winner then COUNT ME IN! Pound for pound, he is the best in the business today. He is it all, both offense and defense.

I'm both a boxing and MMA fan. This fight elicits no interest for me. It might be interesting if it were MMA rules just because it would be interesting to see Mayweather's face when he tries to go for the clinch and McGreggor throws him. Maybe the look of disbelief the first time Mayweather gets kicked in the thigh.

Instead we'll probably see Mayweather jab a jab that McGreggor has never seen anything close to before, and the frustration when McGreggor is grabbed but isn't allowed to do anything about it.

It ended up being an ok fight, no brawling or anyone getting out of hand. It almost seemed a bit subdued, no more than a few seconds of swinging for the fences, so to speak, in most rounds. Neither fighter was in any real danger, Floyd was, as McGregor said after the fight, very controlled and composed throughout, making it difficult for McGregor to do much of anything.

One thing should be noted: McGregor talked a lot before the fight, and no doubt he made a lot of people dislike him. It's called promoting a fight, and he did it the way most knew he would. Floyd was very gracious after the fight, giving much props, and going out with class and ending a very successful career.

I just watched as much as I could find on You tube this morning, which was a lot for the most part. Not worth a $100, but I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars for what I saw, decent fight but nothing spectacular. I've seen a lot better, but I've also seen a lot worse.

Floyd destroyed mcgregor, he gave him 3 rounds to wear himself out and then Floyd went to work. The fight only lasted as long as Floyd chose for it to.

Nobody got destroyed, the fight was too low energy for that. It was clear who the better boxer was and Floyd proved that. One thing's for sure, they both made incredible bank.

Mayweather coasted and couldve taken him out a rd or 3 sooner, but the safest move was to wait out even more exhaustion. That fight was never in question.

That said, it was clear the Mcgregor worked his tail off to try and become a competent boxer. They made a F-ton of money, didnt embarrass boxing and gave us a few interesting rounds. Best outcome possible for all involved I assume.
