Allegedly was arrested (per Rivals message board). Domestic violence was mentioned as well... I have no facts, just asking questions...

either it was a rare sort of cop, or her apparent fault must have been extreme. Usually it would just be the guy getting arrested, regardless of whether he was attacked or not.

In my area, if a cop comes out on a domestic violence charge, both parties are going to jail.

I think his response has more to do with board hypocrisy.

If an Ole Miss player is arrested for something the wide majority of the board goes all holier than thou, claiming MSU's and Mullen's moral superiority.

Then, when a 2nd MSU player is arrested in a couple of weeks, you get moronic responses like coach66's in this thread.

I'm fine with people being a hypocrite as long as they will just admit it.

him to punish Skinner. His record on things like this has been pretty consistent and I think he has done a pretty good job of maintaining discipline because of it. Haven't seen you in a while Lion I guess you just popped over to wish us well on Skinner, 17 off, strong message to follow.

we have it. By signing Masoli, UM pretty much surrendered any claims to moral superiority until Nutt is gone. You've got guys stealing stuff, getting kicked off other teams, and still playing, we've got ones now gone for smoking pot, and are waiting to see what happens with a domestic dispute that ended with both parties arrested.
Houston's reign has resulted in so much tarnish to your image that we'd need the proverbial live boy just to catch up.

both sides have evidence of damage(for example, with this particular incident with Skinner, the police report noted that both had marks on their body). In other words, it's probably a judgement call. If it's clear that one side just beat the dogsh*t out of the other, that wouldn't happen. But think about this hypothetical:

Girl is batsh*t crazy and comes at her 6'3" 225lb. bf with a butcher knife. In self defense, the 225lb. bf manages to defend himself but get cut up a little bit. In the process, she gets knocked around pretty good(if I was that guy, i'd be pissed enough to do some damage to the girl). You're a cop that shows up and you see he's cut up and bloody and she's got bruises and a concussion or something. You don't know who to believe. What do you do? Take 'em both in. Figure out what really happened later.

Obviously, I'm not saying that's what happened. I don't know. But I can see where it would be standard operating procedure to take both parties in unless it's pretty clear what happened.

If both parties claim strikes were thrown or exhibit marks as in this case, they both go to jail. Doesn't matter who started it. Doesn't matter who struck first. And doesn't matter what gender.

I'm sure if its pretty obvious that he "beat her senseless", he is going to jail.

Cops often respond to fights where the subjects don't want to press charges when the cops arrive. Most of the time, they are taking someone in if the call is made. And if both look to have been fighting and it isn't clear cut, both are going in.

I think fits better. Meaning the beaten party (if severe) wouldnt just be thrown in a cell. </p>
