I see all the posts about firing Woody, but it is my understanding that Croom calls the offensive plays. This is what he did in the NFL and does anyone think he will simply give up playcalling to a new OC?
I just don't see what firing Woody does to change the offense?
Also, Croom is not running the West Coast offense, not even close. When MSU is in the Shotgun it is a spread type of offense, with option plays thrown in.
I never understood why they keep calling it a west coast offense when there is basically no similiarities between what MSU runs and teams like the Packers and 80s Niners used to run. West coast offense uses their TE, FB and HB in the passing game, something MSU has never done while Croom was there.
