Todd Ellis because I was a kid and that run n shoot was all I knew about football. To this day those 87-88 teams are the most exciting football I can remember. But again I was seeing it through a kids eyes.

I'm not even sure who my #1 favorite player is, much less my #2. I've got most of the same usual suspects in my top 10 or so, but I'll throw out a few more who were responsible for some great memories for me: Ryan Brewer, Brad Edwards, Melvin Ingram.

On the defensive side:
1. Melvin Ingram
2a. DJ
2b. Kelsey Quarles
2c. Devin Taylor

That 2011 defense was full of talent!

Probably Dickie Harris. I was a kid when he was a star DB and return specialist. I can still remember hearing Bob Fulton calling his name.

Right behind Big George.

I always rank the late Clarence Williams near the top. We both lived in University Terrace as seniors. I remember meeting him while carrying laundry for my wife. He told me if I ever got tied up and needed help getting the laundry down and back for my wife, he'd take care of it. He said he'd make sure no one messed with her. He was simply a very good guy. I told him the same when it came to his wife. Of course, his football responsibilities ate up most of his time. I did bump into him a couple of times that year. He was always the same "good guy". Always rooted for whichever NFL teams he and Kevin Long played only. Still the only 2 backs to run for 1,000 yds for USC in the same season.

Wow. Lots of great names on here. I liked Syvelle Newton. There was just something about the guy that I liked.

If we were talking basketball then it's far and away Downey, Balkman, Powell and Stack. Then Sin and PJ. I also liked Felder when he was here.

It’s impossible to say. As a kid growing up it was Tanneyhill. I had one of those Gamecock hats with a Tanneyhill ponytail attached. :)

It’s impossible to say. As a kid growing up it was Tanneyhill. Mainly because of his antics I think. He was a pretty good QB and Clemson just despised him, so… I had one of those Gamecock hats with a Tanneyhill ponytail attached. :)
