I have a friend who is a member of GP and he says he has always like. It really doesnt matter since every happening in MSU sports is posted on the pack board, but I just wanted to get some input before I joined one of these sites. Bash away asshats.</p>

and most of the rest are people piling on because they think it makes them cool. Seriously its all in good fun. I would not overanalyze it.
Oh I agree. I love to ***** about pitching, infield, outfield, catching, bullpen, and baserunning as much as the next guy, but information wise is everyone about even?

I was one of those banned by Gene simply because I joined this board; otherwise, I did nothing to deserve getting banned from genespage.
In short, Gene saw the creation of this board as a threat to his entrenched propaganda outlet, so he became hysterical like a little girl instead of dealing with it like a man.

BDJ is easily better than GP. It's become pretty apparent over the last year that Jean's sources have dried up/been cut and BDJ now has the inside track. They're regularly scooping Jean & Co now, plus they've got more content in the way of interviews and such. And the interviews are actual interviews, unlike Jean asking about a player/recruit's favorite pizza topping. Of course, for sheer mass of info, the Pack is where it's at. There's a lot of BS here, but the Pack has also broken a ton of major stories, most notable the Trent Lott Retirement/Resignation. Still, I'd recommend BDJ over GP if you're looking to join a premium site. I left GP for BDJ and haven't regretted it for a second.

That's not to say that every person on Gene's Page is that way, but Gene's subscription base is made up of those people. If he didn't have them, he wouldn't have a business. That's why he bans those of us who speak our minds and demand better results from MSU sports.</p>
As far as Gene is concerned, I don't like him specifically because he's peddled this attitude for profit for many years, where as he could have been someone who helped promote the cause of the MSU athletics department doing what it takes to better itself. Now that things have changed at the top and his buddy LT is gone, Gene's attitude has switched somewhat because he has to continue to make a living. So essentially he's like a politician, and he changes his tune whenever his instinct of self-preservation kicks in. Gene's also a liar and an arrugant prick who refuses to listen to reason, at least that's what I gather from personal experience.

Thanks for the info guys as well as the useless bashing for improper message board posting from some. I guess I will take feedback however I can get it. Oh and pitching and catching is used in baseball. It is a great american sport that was founded many many years ago. It involves a bat and other people with several mits. There is also a ball involved that is white with laces on it.
I think you nailed it. And the people banned from Genespage (and landing here) have more insightful, provocative posts that the sheep Gene selected for. I tired of Genespage, and luckily found the BOMB (another great community of State fans). That's where I heard about Sixpack. And the rest is history....
they are the only ones worthy of knowledge on MSU athletics AND you can't say anything! I seriously got banned- JUST TODAY- for saying "Don't jump the gun". That's IT! Are you KIDDING ME?! That's just stupid. I love the fact they've been getting scooped out of their brain the last couple of months! You can come on here, read Thursdays with Greg, and read Veazey's blog and find out WAAAY more than on Gene's Page.. Besides, you can always read the subjects of the post on the almighty "premium" board and generally find out what's going on anyway! Although, generally that's just for confirmation for what you've read the previous 48 hours in other places! Screw those guys!
