Another afternoon snow messWhat is going on there?
Why do you post? BTW: I was born and raised in Morgantown and graduated from WVU...instead of the childlike answer it would be nice to know where all the ticket "buyers" were. Seems to be a new norm for WVU events.

Is you niece one of the drivers for the green lot shuttles. We had a female driver both ways and she did a fantastic job in the snow. She slid past the spot where we were to turn into the parking lot and she had to go down to the old Holiday Inn and turn around and go back. She did not have much room to turn around but she made it work like a pro. Great Job.So more than 9,000 people risked their lives to get to the Texas game and you think interest in WVU is dwindling? Get real.
Cars were sliding all over the place. My niece slid and nearly had an encounter with the bus as she drove to WVU Coliseum.
24,000 showed up in TWO snowstorms and icy roads for two home games in a row. That's fantastic!
Negative Nancy!!!

It just appears to me that attendance has been trending down for the Mountaineers and according to my friends who still live in MoTown there are all kinds of excuses...including the one that says "I only go to the big games now." I mentioned to him that Texas seemed like a big game...at least to me. Did I go...no...I am 1500 miles away...but NEVER missed when I lived in Motown...and as a student/athlete.

as its been explained in the past with football, it's not a WVU problem. It's a collegiate athletics problem nationally. The prices to attend games keeps trending upwards. With a struggling economy, most people would rather spend their money on bills and necessities rather than watching sporting events. Add in bad weather and road conditions, most would rather stay home and avoid risking their lives while watching it on tv for free. Plus, as the OP pointed out, we draw from a small population to begin with. The only schools not dealing with this are blue bloodsWhat is going on there?
Keep your ignorance to yourself. I said...I started this post with a question. Several, including you I presume, saw that as an attack on my school. Get a life.
Sorry I am wasting your time Orlaco...maybe you could answer the question instead of being a jackass.
