during the game, much less a must win game. Shows a total lack of focus by the coaching staff!!! I bet you can't name one other coach in america that is allowed to have his kids in the huddle (on the court!!!!!) during a basketball game!<div>

Just like his ability to coach - I wonder how many jobs, much less head coaching jobs that pay a million plus would allow you to keep your kids with you while working...I mean, I wonder what would happen if I brought kids to my cube at work...Stans is a joke. He can't coach a lick. He lives on talent, but talent will only take you so far. It is time for him to go.

and this group of genius' in this thread think that a good topic of discussion is why there are two kids in a basketball huddle.

Newsflash for the morons: Since Humphrey was opened there have been kids under the goal, and behind the bench to help during games. Just so happens that two of them now are the coaches sons.

Does anyone know anything about basketball or will the next gripe be about something else irrelevant?

where there are kids with their heads in every huddle at every time out that is taken. I have seen Rick speak twice at alumni gatherings as well and they were pulling on his legs while he spoke, they were under the table where the podium was playing with toys, laughing etc. They have the run of the place wherever they are and thats not professional at all.

One of the best things about our coach is that his whole family has bought into the program. They live and breathe MSU basketball! I would say that Rick Stansbury is more committed to our program and the betterment of our University than any other coach in any other sport in the entire country. (maybe a little hyperbole because how could I really know)

Having that kind of family support for a job that demands 90% of your waking hours is crucial to doing your best.

His wins and losses speak for themselves. He is a winner at MSU and a winner in life.

The ONLY question that I would ask is if he is meeting expectations. And it would appear that he is not at this time. Would a new coach take this particular group of athletes any higher? NO.

but not two kids.

Please tell me there is more to this moronic way of thinking.

And please also explain howthe players were able to ignore them when the team won the sec tournament.

for all manner of stupidity.

Look. Nearly EVERY college has kids working the goals and the bench to help the team. Happens on college, high school and pro levels. Kids can hear the huddles.

While i've seen the kids around the huddle, I've never witnessed one time he had to pay attention to them and not the game or the players. What has happend badly to thisteam is the product of poor coaching and sometimes poor play. But his wife and kids are the subject matter forpeople who cannot figure out HOW he's done a poor job coaching.

Read a book, grow a brain or do some17ing thing.Leave thecriticism of the family out.

I know my kids would distract me if I was coaching.. No way you can say the things that need to be said when your kids are around... In the huddle and in the locker room. I would no want my kids to see that side of me all the time, especially young ones...And if Stans never gets on our players, then that is more than half the problem right there...

That IS the problem!! It's another sign that Stansbury has NO BACKBONE. He lets everyone do whatever the hell they want. Jack up 3 after 3 Rodney it's ok Stansbury will never say stop, don't run up and down the floor Sidney its ok Stansbury won't say anything, don't give Moultrie the ball Dee it's ok Stansbury won't say anything, act complacent with everything Wendell it's ok Stansbury won't say anything, keep dribbling when you get the ball Moultrie it's ok Stansbury won't say anything and on and on and on.
