Why can’t I delete my own posts?

Apparently when on3 launched several years ago with that feature on, it was abused and caused major headaches.

How does one abuse that feature?

I don't have an answer for you, but I think all of our prior boards didn't allow deleting either right? Just edits.
Perhaps a “delete all text” option within the edit function then? Deleting text on mobile isn’t a terrific experience in general so trying to solve for that

You guys should have local ability to enable things like delete posts that aren’t available elsewhere on the On3 network. You might just request it given your tighter moderation and more competent operation than perhaps some other parts of this forum network.

Just to be clear, you can press edit beneath your post and delete all text within a post. And if you just make it blank, or "delete" or "nm" then there is nothing you may have regretted posting or posted in error. A mod can then clean it up later to fully delete the post.

It accomplishes the same thing in a different way.

247 did. I just double posted because of a glitch in the app and can’t delete one of the posts. Would be nice to see this feature added.
