when SEC play starts. That theory is not right because according to the stats, Riek had 3 fouls in 4 minutes.

Said Wendell hadn't done anything wrong, he just wanted to get Riek some time. He also said Lewis is a freshman and wasn't recruited to come in and play right away. It came across as a Wendell isn't ready to handle a situation like this, but I'm fine with it. Right now, Lewis isn't dominant at one thing. He's gonna be a project, but has a good body, and is very teachable, so I think in the future he will be good. Riek can go in and just because of his size alter shots and grab rebounds. Lewis can't command space and grab the tougher boards yet. Good move my Stans I think because Wendell has been out of position on drives to the paint some this year, and he just needs more experience to learn what he has to do at his position.

When you have four starters who have to play upwards of 30 minutes and two guys who have to split 40+ minutes at the 3/4, and a MS Player of the Year who needs about 9 minutes, and a guy from the coach's hometown who has to play for 6-8 minutes a game, and a 7-1 freshmens who needs to play ~5 minutes every other game.....well you see how it can be hard to find minutes for Wendell.

I mean you'll have to add something like "and coach feels like he has to play a sure-fire NBA talent 15-20 minutes a game"...

Stans has not always been kind to freshmens with minutes. "Bires" and Frazier are good examples. In recent years with Gordon, Bost, Barry and Ben, he has. Sidney will be very interesting. On the one hand there is the indisputable talent. On the other hand, he's a freshmens, we already have our "rotation" or whatever it is that he calls it, and Sidney is somewhat out of shape and has not competed in a game since last spring. I would guess that if he does get cleared he will get no more than 12-14 minutes a game, which would probably be about right.

What it would do though, is free us up to play big or small. Jarvis, Kodi and Sidney could easily take all 80 minutes of the 4 and 5. Or you could just have one of them in the game with four of these: Osby, Ravern, Phil, Randy, and Dee. Lots and lots of combinations. I think one thing is certain though. If Sidney is cleared, Lewis and Riek will rarely see the floor in close games.
