Oh yeah, its because I saw the thread detailing this exact idea on their message board the other day. Little do they realize that genespagers are equally bat-**** crazy. This has potential to become a sports-centered, microcosmic scenario of "if the cold war went hot." Both programs will end up shattered. Thanks insane middle-aged OMspirits, and a preemptive thanks to the insane middle-aged genespagers. Did yall learn nothing from the recruiting fiascoes in the 90's? Go 17 yourselves.

I can only hope that this assault (for lack of better word) will burn itself out as fast as it started....it would be the best case scenario for both of our programs.

on The Big Lead and Deadspin because an all-internet-sourced story involving athletes, strip clubs, and facebook is right in their wheelhouse (and EDSBS because it involves the crazy world of SEC recrootin'). Once this hits SportsCenter, or makes the real paper (not just Kyle's blog-no offense), then I would consider it big time.

It's recruits at a strip club. It's being blown way out of proportion by the internet message boarders, but it'll blow over before too long.

Eventually, it'll just turn into a running joke about MSU using strippers to recruit, much like the Powe can't read and clock radio pillow joke.

The fact that they have to define "screen grabs" lets you know who the target audience is.

I still say give it a day, and nobody will care (or a cell phone video will magically appear, and we'll go through round 2).

I never post here but this has my blood boiling. This is a fight no school wants to engage in nor any stupid reporters. I went on recruiting visits to Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss and MSU. The only visit I made where we did not go to a strip club was MSU. Had there been on in town at the time, we would have been there.

And this **** happened too. I happen to think it's not a big deal, which is why it'll blow over, just like the other ****, and at that point it'll be nothing more than an internet joke.

Any time in the future when a State recruit is quoted as saying he had a good time on his visit, people will make a joke about strippers.

I sure some of the 6pack sheep don't want this posted......but true story.

Mid-late 90s, much younger and stupid, I am in PP. Two good sized, young black guys, and one huge white guy are in there. You could tell they had not been there much. They were just sitting there. Which happened to be next to our table. Being a football fan, I ask one of them if they are players. "Yes" "Where?" "We are going to Ole Miss." The two black guys were the Heard brothers. Big white dude....no idea.

I was part of the Liberty Bowl team in the early 90s and while we were in Memphis, you could have found our entire team at PP. Matter of fact, John Daly showed up and bought a bunch of LD for everyone. I would say he spent close to 10k that night on us. Amazing. And yes, if you are wondering why we got beat so bad by Air Force, you can thank PP.
