Why do I keep watching?!?!

Why do I sit and watch this basketball team? Every game I ask myself this same question. Am I alone? Are there other MSU fans like me that hope we will win another game?

I'm a glutton for punishment I guess!

Exactly. Basketball isn't even on my radar. When I think about when the next game is, I'm thinking baseball.

I was blissfully unaware we were even playing tonight until about 5 minutes ago. I saw where we had another stellar 0/15 night from the arc to go along with the usual 20 point beatdown. Forget winning, when is the last time we even had a lead in a game?

I will usually switch over to it if at some point I am home and not doing anything. I did so with about 2 minutes left to go in the 2nd half. We were down like 65-41. Click. Watching baseball team on ESPN3 tonight instead.

When I saw your post it was the first time I thought about us having a basketball game tonight. Just googled the score, and I've got to say that it feels good to see that I didn't waste a minute of time on it. It's pretty amazing. Before last year I never missed watching or listening to a game, no matter the opponent.

I haven't felt this way since I was a kid during the Bob Boyd years. I hope Ray makes it work, but we need a serious injection of talent.

Thank Jeebus for European soccer - the only sport worth watching now.

watching bball, y'all do realize we had a baseball game tonight. Even though we SUCK, it's (baseball) much more entertaining**

i watch still because the horrible losing makes the winning that much sweeter. Thank gawd for iPads and other forms of entertainment while having a game on though. No way I can stomach strictly watching this team right now.

Four assists in the game. Not from one player. The entire team. Four freaking assists. Oh, and 12 turnovers. Just two more games and it will all be over thank God.

After building a 12 point lead ...

we got outscored 27-6 to end the 1st half.

We trail USCe by one game and play them on Sat. Even though we can't avoid the celler, if we beat USCe, at least State won't be listed LAST in the final standings.

Trivia ... RR again enters the MSU record book with the 'worse' SEC record over a two year period of ANY State BB coach. With a win on Sat, he will have won 8 of 36 SEC games ... 22%

Living in the ATL area I used to really look forward to when the SECT was in the G-dome. Not this year.

And our fragile point guard was the leading rebounder. And we were 0-15 from the 3-pt line. And we only scored 45 points in a game. And we got beat by 20 points, again. And 99% of our fans didn't watch the game (and about that many didn't know we even played). Shall I keep going? Oh, but we played hard. (Even though we are last in the SEC in defensive field goal %.)

Our problem with assists....

...is that it requires someone to make a shot.
