This guy literally could not get an in field coaching job for 2 years. Why give him more than 1 year. Mississippi State repeating our mistakes. We have a multi year contract to the last DC who had never even been a full position coach. We see how well that worked out.

We just hired a DC that never finished below 6th in this conference in total defense and never had a defense give up more that 25 per game. We upgraded from a terrible DC to a very good one, for basically the same price tag.
I was debating buying football tickets for next year. I have some things at home that need me here and going to games to watch a bad defense is hard to justify. I will buy tickets with Arnett as the DC and work it out. (Is that a pretentious defense??)
I'm sorry, wasn't he our DC in 2020 and 2021? Defense gave up more than 25 points per game in both of those seasons. We were barely below 25 in 2023.
