Why do we not play MEMPHIS and UAB every season?

Both of those teams are for the most part consistently decent, this year both were around 50th in RPI, and would provide close road games that a lot of State fans would be able to get to. Not to mention travel expenses would be minimal for our cash-strapped athletic dept.Louisiana Tech even finished the year in the top 80 in the RPI. The NCAA second round game with Memphis two years ago was great. We should be playing these teams every season. </p>

It does at least back to Dana Kirk, if not further. We have played UAB from time to time.

except in the Tourney a couple of years ago. Then aGAIN, I'm only 26. If I were the Ninja, I'd be tempted to tell Tiger High: "If you want to continue to play us in football and baseball, you are going to have to play us in basketball. No excuses. Until then, you don't get **** from us in the other sports."

I am pretty sure we tried the no football until you play basketball card and they said okay.

In football, Memphis cares about playing......1. UT 2. Ole Miss 3. Anybody else in the SEC That is why OM and UT have played them in basketball recently and we have not.

I could care less about playing them in basketball until they hire another Tic Price.

especially when they have no reason to be. Yes, they had a good run with John Chaney's *****, but you'd think Tiger High was in the same echelon as UNC, Duke or Kentucky or something the way some of their fans act. The fact remains, they are in a ****** *** conference (because no good conference wants them) and have been to as many legitimate Final Fours as we have. I don't understand the reason for arrogance, hence my deep hatred.

Except my heart attack is probably going to come from an MState sporting event. I could really care less what Tiger High does, I just like to ***** about them on here. For whatever reason, it gets a rise out of you and hatfield and a few others.
