I think the players have the mentality that they're at an SEC school and opponents will just roll over and cower when they see the Mississippi State bus pull up to the stadium. As a result, we only play to the level of our opponent and screw around and get ourselves in a tight spot.

We're just not a good enough team to sleepwalk into a road win... especially against an opponent that is highly motivated because we're SEC.

Maybe the scariest thought of all is we could very easily be 1-2 going into sec play. Offense has to learn to be good all game and before it is out of reach or its gonna be a very long season.

It wasn’t prevent defense. I don’t remember them running prevent at all.

Is a sense of urgency a learned skill or just part of someone’s DNA? Not sure it can even be legally taught in this day and age.

Look at schools that run modifications of this offense or used to. All run tempo and a bunch have added more spread run and those offenses score bunches of points. It keeps defenses on their heels and makes them stay honest. Leach is too stubborn to change though
