Why even have a replay official?

Something is bad wrong with my big *** tv. Everytime I think they should overturn one they don't and vice versa. Replay refs blow.

one wonders if it's all about keeping the top teams on top.

see non-call today at Alabama when Cody takes his helmet off to celebrate on the last play while the ball was still live.

anyone really think the officials are going to call that on Bama?

but you can't help but wonder if there is some sort of agenda going on here. The fact that there are so many errant calls that always seem to benefit the top teams is very suspsicious. It happens every week now! At some point it just becomes too common to be mere coincidence.

You know full well that the SEC doesn't give a crap about anyone but the upper echelon of teams. Teams like Arkansas and Mississippi State will get screwed at every opportunity if need be to preserve Florida.

"not conclusive evidence" is enough gray area for them to be able to ignore what appears to be conclusive to the viewers at home.

The officials can still gig you; first by making the close call in favor of their team so that there will have to be conclusive proof to overturn, and when there is conclusive proof the review official can just say it's not.

Plus, they can always call whatever holds and other non-reviewable calls they want to.

Bottom line, even with the review, officials can still gig you; it just takes them longer.

All the review is doing for teams like us taking up time.

I seem to remember a time late in the season last year when I heard only one challenge had resulted in a call being overturned (I think this was only in the SEC, not nationwide). At least that part seems to be a waste of time.

The guy who upheld the call on the TD tonight should be fired. Hell, he should be lynched!!!!!!!!!!

Remember that the guy on the field doesn't see the monitor. All he has is the headset. When he put the headset on tonight, all he heard on the other end was Mike Slive telling him that if he wanted to keep his job, there was no way in hell that call was gonna be overturned. Give the guy a break already.
