Well, I'm sitting in my hotel in Omaha, Nebraska, getting ready to go watch Miss. State play in the College World Series, so nothing that any Mississippi fans say or do can have any effect on me. That being said, I do find it funny that the **** talking has undeniably increased since we won the Charlottesville Super Regional.
As for this "Year of the Rebel" ********, they haven't accomplished anything this year that we have had any trouble doing in the recent past. They won the Egg Bowl this year, but we still have won it 3 out of the last 4 years (And the home team has only lost once in the past 10 years, so more or less, they basically just held home field). They won the SEC basketball tournament, but we've won it twice in the past ten or so years and have been in a couple other tourney championship games in that same time span. And sure they won the SEC series this year, but the season series was tied 2-2 and none of those games were played at Dudy Noble. Also, we're sitting at the CWS and their season ended two weeks ago outside of Omaha again, so you tell me who has had the better baseball season. Nothing they have done this year in any sport is foreign to us at all. In fact, the last two years we were far more dominant over them than they were over us this year.
Don't let what UM fans say bother you. They're just mad that in their best sports year in modern history, they still didn't really do anything special and we did something for the ninth time that they haven't accomplished in 40+ years.
