Just stop!
That is definitely not targeting but neither was the call on us.
We are so outmatched in this game it’s really silly.

That’s my point in asking the question! Our player led with a shoulder and you could tell he was keeping head out of play……and a receiver that goes over the middle knows the risk……we should have not been called for targeting

that hit on shapen is more dangerous to a player than a receiver catching a pass over the middle…..so if you look at what constitutes a targeting hit/call…..then that hit on shapen was textbook.defensive player led with helmet, and offensive player had no opportunity to defend himself from the hit

sometimes I just hate what they have done to football

Isn't part of the targeting definition 'forcible contact to the head or neck area?' If it is then the call on Manning was the right call. He led with his shoulder, but it was to the earhole of the guy's helmet.

It was 100% targeting by definition. And disgusting that it didn’t get reviewed.

Either protect the players and call it fairly or stop calling it at all.
