Why is UMiss ahead of us in the SEC Standings?

Likely because their programming looks at it as if it’s a tie for 3rd and Mississippi is ahead of Mississippi State alphabetically.

That’s all I got

Except that Florida is ahead of Kentucky alphabetically and they got the East standings right.

Weird. Doesn’t make sense. State has the first two tie-breakers (head to head and divisional record).

Not sure how much it matters though.

They got UK and FLA right (UK holds the head to head tiebreaker over FLA), but put UMiss ahead of us:

There are no tiebreakers other than for the SEC Championship Game. Even then, the teams are still co-division champions.

It has frustrated me for years. They use alphabetical order but then they call Mississippi “Ole Miss”, which then becomes not alphabetical order.

But the East isn’t in alphabetical order. It’s in tiebreaker order. Which is the west ordering doesnt make sense.

Didn’t catch that part. Sometimes it takes a day to change but we’ve had that day
