Why limit our Head Coaching candidates?
Reach as high as possible....sell our reasonable short-term fan expectations in the Big Ten to give an experienced top name head coach an opportunity to build a football powerhouse with the high school football talent available in NJ, NY, PA, and Florida to start.
In my opinion, Rutgers could win a future National Championship with the right, experienced head coach (i.e. top coach whose fan base is not happy with an average of 8-9 wins per year in a Power 5 Conference) if given the time to build the program.
Getting someone like a Mark Richt (former Georgia head coach) to Coach at Rutgers takes two things: Money and Listening to a coach tell you how he can/what it will take to win a future National Championship at Rutgers.
The question is whether or not someone like Greg Brown can "sell the dream" to a guy like Mark Richt.
Your thoughts? Any other Power 5 Coaches that we should add to our dream search list?
