Why did Russell not get any snaps tonight? I'm not saying its a good thing or a bad thing. I'm just wondering if I had missed something this week.

It makes sense. You have at least the opportunity to run and/or pass with Ralph, and with Tyler, at least for now, the pass is all we have. Since the o-line has apparently voted to 17 the pass, Dan has given our team the identity of a run offense, and it worked well tonight in the second half. I'm not saying Tyler can't run at all, or that he won't play some (aka Alabama) but Ralph is THE quarterback, and I'm glad we at least made a decision.

He'll get plenty of reps next week. I think we needed to control the clock and pound UGA tonight. Thank goodness we figured that out!

I think the decision to stick with one QB and one RB(for the most part) was one that needed to be made. While I'm sure Russell will get some reps next week, Relf needs to be our truestarting QB from now on. And the RB back committee **** needs to go out the window.Ballard is the guy with Perkins getting some snaps too.

He looked a lot more comfortable, especially in the pocket. The game wasn't on his shoulders in an area where he was uncomfortable, which is passing. He thrives when he has to run, and did well with it tonight. My only concern is can he hold up through the course of a season. I really hope we get up big on Alcorn so he can get more rest, because he took some shots tonight. If he is going to run the ball 21 times a game, he will need all the rest he can get.

I agree. I'mkinda worried too about Relf being able to take beatings like he did tonight. Russell needs to get reps just to ensure he can play if we need him, but not in close game situations.

And Ralph didn't have many complete screwups.

A couple bad, but not idiotic throws. A muffed snap. And a handful of bad reads on the zone-read play.

He had 2 or 3 fumbles tonight, he's not getting the snaps cleanly (not entirely his fault), and he is bobbling the ball on the option reads. Of course you're going to get some fumbles running the option, but we shouldn't have to hold our breath on every play.

Love the win but Relf just slings the ball up with any pressure, pick was overturned by penalty and he fumbled out of bounds, he is a good runner but he scares me in the pocket. I loved seeing tyler out there congratulating teammates and pumping people up, opposite of Relf who stood there with his arms folded last week when Tyler led the drive.
