simply renew an existing contract than the amount of time other schools spent hiring a brand new coach....wtf?

Please tell me how many contract negotiations you have been in. Because I've been in a lot and they are all long and difficult. In this case the principal people aren't in any hurry and have other things to worry about as well. I think some of you believe we have this infinite number of people in the Athletic Department and whenever we want to do something new we just open the closet and pull out another person. We got a lot going on, contracts are a pain int he *** especially when you are doing what we are talking about which is way more than a normal coaching contract. I've spent a month fighting over a single phrase before and we agreed on all the big stuff. Good contracts are never easy.Captain Agustus McDawg said:There is nothing so complex about a contract that it should take this long, unless one side is either delaying or being unreasonable.
