Why not britton at 2nd and detz dh?

Why handicap yourself just to handicap yourself? Detz and Porter are both lefties. Is Trey Porter and/or Nick Flair a better option at the plate than Pirtle Hann Frost and Britton? Yes. Case closed. If Detz is not at 2nd, then 2nd becomes an offensive liability. It's that simple.
There has to be something about detz glove at 2nd we dont know about bc that option is just so easy

If we haven't seen him at 2nd 15 games in then I doubt he'll just pop up at 2nd the 1st SEC series. Cohen has mentioned he may play 3rd though.

Cohen is sending a clear message to Daryl Norris to shore up his defense. We'll see what happens with it long term- I still think Norris will play in some form or fashion, it just may be at DH along with Porter. I wouldn't be surprised if Norris wins his spot back if he gets his glove in order. I assume he is going to probably start Pirtle and Hann at second. Even though it hurts our offense a little bit, I do like the message to our team that we are going to have to play good defense. Hopefully Norris learns his lesson and gets his spot back and Detz moves over to second.
It is nice to have the kind of depth and talent to debate about. Lets face it frost detz britton pirtle at 2nd is a good problem to have
