What a joke. It states one of the reasons they liked.Trubisky was his accuracy over Watson and Mahomes.

This alone tells me they are not watching college football games.

Trubisky's accuracy throwing the ball downfield especially long down the sidelines is atrocious. I have not seen anyone worse.

Two games ago he threw a ball long and it was like watching a high pop up in baseball with the DB sitting there for a while for the ball to come down to make an interception

Yes Rick Telender has this right. I watched all 3 play in college and would not touch Trubisky. As I said on draft day I liked both Watson and Mahomes and was the only person on the board to state this on draft day and complained like hell about the Trubisky pick.

Look at the numbers of all 3 right now.

Deshawn Watson was 3 time first team all ACC
During the same time, Trubisky was 2nd team once behind Watson in the same league.
This is simply a case of over-scouting, under-common sense

Wassup you act surprised... Pace has chosen 2 QBs so far with the Bears.

He signed Mike Glennon to $21M, that shoulda raised red flags on his scouting in the first place. The guy has no idea how to scout a QB.

My hope is McCaskeys stop wasting any more time with this regime, it isn’t going anywhere. Get rid of both Nagy and Pace, the Bears are not a bad franchise, we’ve got options folks!

I think we could keep Nagy, who did, after all, mentor Mahomes during his rookie season in Kansas City. Mahomes tweeted this about his offensive coordinator: "My man coach Nags calls some crazy plays, but they are money every time!" It's true that Nagy has made some questionable calls, but Trubisky's regression--indeed, his presence on the team--can't be blamed on him. Nagy compares favorably to Wannstedt, Trestman, and the final years of the Ditka regime.

Comon Nagy mentored Mahomes?? Maybe he was the QB coach but if anyone thinks Pat Mahomes would be any less of a QB without Nagy needs to get out of dreamland.

Trestman went 11-5 his first season, should we have kept on to him?

Nagy has ruined the season with his playcalling and offensive scheme and insistance of putting the entire offense in Mitch Trubisky’s passing ability.

Get rid of them all, if they couldn’t figure it out by now, they sure won’t magically turn the team around next yr.

Pace and Nagy have three years left. They’re not going anywhere.

With all due respect to your point, the decision maker for the Bears is 90 something year young Virginia McCaskey. Georgie and co will do what she says and deservedly so. She wont wait 3 more yrs of this regime, I promise you.

I will go out on a short limb in a very tall tree. Curse me for contradicting myself on a thread that I started, but I think it's possible that Trubisky will redeem himself and become a quarterback worth all the investment made in him so far. Why do I think that? Just a hunch. Plus, we have no choice. As stripes13 said, neither he nor the coach are going anywhere. Both George and Virginia McCaskey "throw nickles around like manhole covers." If you overlook the stats--the won/loss ratio, the completion percentage, the quarterback rating, etc.--it's possible to see through the gloom and glimpse some flashes of brilliance. If he can withstand the negativity, he could become a stronger person and a better player. But first, as Baker Mayfield did, he has to shave the beard.

Nagy had nothing to do with mentoring Mahomes. Mike Kafka ( St. Rita ) had more to do with it than Nagy.

I’m not suggesting that they’ll be around for 3 more years. I’m suggesting that eating one year of their salaries is a lot easier of a swallow.

As much as I dislike Tribs I think your right hold onto him and let him play for 2 more years and we all have to pray very hard.

But I'm in.

Don’t shoot the messenger.
Stripes, not trying to take a shot at you. I don’t like the facts contained in your comment. Pace proved he is a clown with the two quarterback debacle. I never even heard of Trubisky when he was drafted. I can’t tell you the last year I wasn’t at least somewhat familiar with the first 5-7 draft picks.

Colin Kaepernick will be holding a tryout in Atlanta this Saturday, which is open to all teams and GMs. If he looks good, should the Bears sign him?

Maybe Nike could sign him to play in the Chinese Professional Football League (CPFL). LOL

Yes it would.

I must say this thread is entertaining...in a ridiculous way. Some of you guys act like a bunch of meatheads sitting in a bar at 11:00 PM on quarter beer night.

It amazes me how some guys just seem to like to ***** and don't go to the root of the problem. I am certainly not talking about everyone, and certainly not you, Kevin. But, you guys know who you are.

These are the same guys who bitched at the end of Lovie's term and Grossman and the GM on and on. Then they bitched about Marc Trestman and Jay Cutler and the GM on and on.Then they complained about John Fox, Cutler, Trubisky, the GM and on and on. Now, it's Nagy's turn along with Mitch Trubisky and Pace. I am not saying it wasn't warranted. BUT, what I am saying is you are ignoring the real problem. Guys, ultimately it comes down to the McCaskeys.

Who hired these GMs? The McCaskeys. Why don't I see all the complaining about the McCaskeys? The fact is, the Bears' organization is being run horribly by the McCaskeys. They aren't football people and I have stated it numerous times.

Lovie and John Fox were good coaches. By the way, John Fox didn't want the Bears to draft Mitch Trubisky. He wanted Watson. Obviously he was overruled, most likely by Pace and the McCaskeys. Probably because the McCaskeys and Pace knew Fox was on his way out. Very few people know or remember this information.

It still goes back to the McCaskeys but...carry on. :)

I know I never saw Mitch play in college. It’s kind of hard for me to remember a guys name in conversations unless he’s someone I’ve seen play or if he is really brought to the center of attention. One of my personal faults.

Some years I don’t pay much attention to college football if I find myself working a lot of Saturdays.

How come this was not scheduled on the Veteran's Day holiday of 2 days ago? Also, I wonder if the 1st evaluation drill will involve the National Anthem?

You’re not wrong, but it’s not a thing to really get worked up about. You can’t make them sell the team. Unless Virginia, George or any of the other members of that ghoulish family pull a Donald Sterling, there not going anywhere anytime soon.

The Bears may not be a winning franchise but what I meant is they are not a 2nd or 3rd rate team. By $$ value and by popularity, the team is much higher than 17th. I understand it helps being located in a major city, but were not the fricken dolphins or chargers!

The reason we’re not talking about the McCaskeys is because they aren’t going anywhere. They will continue to own the bears until most of us die. Why not discuss things that have a chance of happening, like firing the gn/coach/rinse and repeat :).

Also if I’m ridiculous for thinking the Bears GM and HC positions are not bad positions in the NFL.. then go ahead and call me ridiculous.
