OK, a question. What happened to cause the Kaepernick thread to get dumped?
I figured after I started that thread somebody would blow it up. A couple of the guys on here act like petulant children. One particular BUFFOON repeatedly posts inappropriate material. I’m not sure why this particular BUFFOON hasn’t been axed.

No doubt the guy is a disappointment, but still way too early to throw in the towel. The Bears have too much invested at the moment and there are quite a few QBs that struggled early in their careers. Here's a short list:

  • Steve Young (Was labeled a bust by Tampa Bay and replaced by Vinny Testaverde)
  • Vinny Testaverde (Mediocre for many years until making his first Pro Bowl at age 33)
  • Jim Plunkett (Sub par for New England and San Fran before leading the Raiders to 2 Super bowl victories)
  • Kurt Warner (Went from bagging groceries and playing in various leagues before turning leading the St Louis Rams and AZ Cardinals to the title game)
  • Rich Gannon (From 4th round pick in 87 to making his first Pro Bowl at age 34)
  • George Blanda (Retired in 58 after the Bears considered him washed up, only to set AFL passing records and become the oldest player to ever play in a game at age 48 before hanging it up for real in 76)
  • Terry Bradshaw (Asked Al Davis to trade for him because the Steelers didn't trust him with the offense, only to have Al tell Chuck Noll he was nuts for not playing Bradshaw. Advice Al Davis would regret giving)

Anyway, a partial list and I'm sure there's a few more, but the point is, not good a move to give up on the kid now.

Some good points but I would bet all of those QBs started multiple years at their colleges, not like Mitch sitting on the bench for 2 years.
