And you really can't put Deville's inability to keep his nose clean on Stansbury. Even you said that problem was beyond Stansbury during the season. Didn't Hood ***** about Ray via twitter right before he announced his plans to transfer. So now we're left with Moultrie who would have been 50/50 at best anyway. Face it, the hire wowed players, recruits, and their families even less than it wowed us.

If they don't want to be here then I don't want them hear. Personally I think Hood is pretty retarded for transerring. He would have been next year's go to guy, and if he improved his game just a little, then he would probably have been on the bubble in the 2013 draft. Apparently RR was already working them harder than Stansever did his first week on the job so I haveno doubts Hood would havegotten more than just a little better. Now he gets to go sit out a year. Basketball players (notall) are the biggest 17ing prima donna pussies on the face of the earth.</p>

He dated a tranny in 2006; the same year he started hating Stansbury...Coincidence? I think not.

Captain Obvious is the creator of the comparison to 2001 Jackie, but even that comparison does not take into account the fact that Stans was still trying, still competing, and Jackie had just quit.

Assuming that Hood would have left regardless is absud. How would you know that?

The idea that we couldn't get a name coach because Stans had damaged the rep of the program is pretty shaky imo. I agree that a lot of people say it, but I think this dumpster fire thing is overblown.

The assumption that we would be as horrible as Jackie's last two teams if Stans had stayed is very questionable. Again, Stans had not stopped competing.

So, to summarize, it's a super-dumb post, and its timing is even stupider.

Stans may or may not have been still trying. He was clearly burned out the last couple of years. And the inmates were running the asylum just like in Jackie's last years. It's a good comparison

I actually have information onthis from a good source going back as far as last spring. I didn't post it then, but it is a fact that Hood was trying to get out of his scholarship even back then.

Partially agree. Lots of schools had problems finding a coach this year and a lot of people still have an over-inflated idea of just how attractive our job was to begin with. There's no denying that the program had some very serious and very major problems the last few years though.

No, it's really not. Programs that implode don't do it gradually. Stans would have had a very similar talent level to what Ray will have next year. And once you've lost control of a program, you usually don't get it back.
