Guys, why so much hate filled, negativity on this board tonight? After a win? It does absolutely no good to bash the players right now. Stoops will NOT be fired, until after the season, regardless of how much we *****. These players are working their butts off, improving every week. Try showing them some support, especially after a win!

I think some are unhappy if we win because they want Stoops gone ASAP. Let's wait until the end of the season to make that determination.

These asses actually pay to come here and *****. Bunch of henpecked pissywhiooed cry babies who hate their real lives and decide they can come here and complain about kids who accomplished waaaay more the than their sorry depressed asses have done. I mean seriously, if I were an opposing coach trying to influence and kid to come play for me at Whereever U. I'd pull up this message board and let the "fans" do the recruiting for me.

Angry, frustrated, not too smart people whose own lives are a mess and they are saying something about the team that they believe about themselves.

Considering we are playing a back-up QB that can't throw the damn ball if his life depended on it, I think this team is doing about as well as can be expected. We are having to rely almost completely on the defense and running game to win right now. The fact that we've been able to win two SEC games while being so one dimensional on offense is amazing, even if those wins were against USC and Vandy!

I really hope we can get Barker healthy again soon. If we can add some downfield passing to compliment our running game, to go along with a vastly improved defense, this team could be pretty damn good.

I'd say it is because Vandy is now back at the place (their normal position) where a hard won victory at home means that we aren't very good. It is clearly better than losing, but it doesn't make the game at Missouri any easier.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I only saw about half of these Negative Nancys after the Southern Miss loss.

I dunno if they came out of the wood work once they smelled blood or just have nothing better to do than scream into a wall of wind. Either way, it's very puzzling, and they've begun going after posters who have even an iota of common sense or understanding.

This game was two bounces from being a 27-6 final. We don't give up the scoop and score (was booms first fumble all season and guy made a good hit right on the ball that bounced into the guys chest i stride nearly) a and the ball. It being recovered at the five on the muff. Stats look close, but 70 of those yards were the last drive. With a minute to go they had like 210 yards of total offense.

I imagine you have heard the story of the frog and the scorpion. Some of our fans are negative because they live to be negative. It's all they know. These same people were roasting Coach Brooks when he was taking our football team to bowl games. You look at this board today and you would think we lost yesterday.

I think it's because the Mark Stoops era is likely going to continue for another year. 4 wins will keep him here I'm guessing. Sure, if UK beats Mizzou and knocks off Miss St and the defense continues to play at this improved level I would be willing to give him another year. Likely the Cats finish another 5-7 season and with a bunch of excuses for the Stoops supporters to cling to for the next season.

Another 5-7 season and as a program we're just spinning our wheels. That's the frustrating thing.

I realize it was Booms first fumble but if he knew how to transfer the ball to off arm it wouldntvhave happened or better yet if he wouldnt go down when he gets a finger laid on him. He needs to be better than he is

There were a lot of positives and negatvies to take away from last night. I know Im happy to get the W. We played a solid first half and an ugly second half. Now we need to regroup, heal up, and focus on a Mississippi State team that is better than Vandy or Carolina on both sides of the ball.

I have significant doubts about Stoops like others do, but I have to agree that perhaps some are so invested in their negative opinion of Stoops that they actively pull for the Cats to lose.

I'm happy with the win. We've sure lost enough of those kind of games through the years.

But the game was painful to watch. We kept trying to give Vandy the game, and they kept giving it back. Right down to a dropped TD in the final seconds.

It's ok to be happy to notch the W, while simultaneously understanding that our play wasn't good enough and will have to get better to make a bowl this year.

The people that have gone all in on stoops being fired, don't want him to succeed cause it doesn't fit their stance. They would rather be right than win. It's bizarre
Maybe they just look at the mediocrity that is put on the field after 5 recruiting classes?

Bingo. Any rational fan should be in this camp. Actively rooting for us to lose or thinking everything is back on track and sunshine and rainbows....neither camp is doing us any favors. We won, folks need to be happy about that. We were ugly as hell doing it and not good enough to meet our goals going forward and the team deserves criticism for it.

Soo. Since when was beating vandy by skin of your teeth considered succeeding? We should be kicking the dogsht out of vandy year in and year out in year 4 under stoops. But as long as we barely beat them. All is well with UK fans who expect nothing more than barely beating vandy year in and year out. Which is why we've sucked forever

A win is a win and folks just don't understand that even though they had a fourth down play that could have tied the game, we have made huuuuuuge strides in defense. The offense takes care of the ball and we win that game 20+ to 6-9 points. We are also in a position (after playing Florida AND Alabama) where if we win out in SEC play, we likely win the SEC East. If we win 3 out of the last four SEC games and one of those wins is against Tennessee, we probably win the East. Two unlikely scenarios, but at least we are in a position where that is possible. This team is on the right track, but we aren't moving as fast on the right track as we should be.

We have not "sucked forever". I take personal offense at that lie. Coach Claiborne would have set you straight. "All is not well" with UK fans either. That's another insulting lie. You say we should kick dogshit out of Vandy every year. Vandy's fans think the Commodores should kick dogshit out of Kentucky every year. But that's just noise. The only thing that matters is the direction and arch of the program. Our football program is presently at a crossroad. We have sat at roughly the same performance level in 2014, 15, 16. With 19 incumbent starters and both kickers coming back in 2017, next year "should" be Stoops' time to break out. If he can do it, he will stay. If he can't do it, then he is a goner. I think it has become that simple. If that isn't good enough for you, it's your business. But at least stop posting lies.

Agree 100%,I would think most any UK fan would have this line of thought. As to the boards view of Mark Stoops I find it interesting that he is seemingly more disliked than was Billy Gillispie, maybe he went from 2-10 to 5-7 too quickly and didn't follow up with something better.

If we had gone 3-9 this season then outrage might have been more justified but it looks like that isn't going to happen,a 5-7 year says that he has been able to tread water better than most any of our last half dozen coaches in their first few years.

Closer than that. A twisted ankle did Vandy in. And they still had a chance to go to OT if get hands on ball in EZ. Should have been a TD

Injuries, drops, fumbles are all part of the game. Breaks sometimes go your way, sometimes go the other way.

Last I checked they don't have a column in the standings for shoulda, coulda, woulda.

So I have a question for you or any UK fan that might want to answer. Say you do go 5-7 like you say and it's just a bunch of excuses for Stoops guys to cling to going into next year. Can I expect those guys to be on here with their 9-3, 8-4, or 10-2 type predictions with of course the prediction that you guys will smash Louisville. Didn't your fearless leader Matty Bangs even claim that two years ago was the last year that we would be you guys? If I'm not mistaken, he said your recruiting was so good and ours was so bad that you guys had passed us in talent. Yet we are on the verge of going to the CFP and you guys are contemplating firing your coach. Maybe it's time for some of you to wise up to ol' Matty's act. I know some of you view him as a god but he's actually just a regular idiot. Why do you guys worship someone so clueless so much?
