Why so much pessimism about the Auburn game?

I really think we have a shot to win this game. With Ducre fumbling twice, I think AD will get alot of reps. I think we have playmakers at WR, as shown by Bumphis, that can extend plays downfield and give us better chances to score. We have a much better return game, and we no longer have to worry about terrible field position on punts with Hutchins blasting punts downfield. I think under Croom its fair to say we beat better teams than this Auburn team with less talent than we have now. I know we only have our game against Jackson St., but I think that even in the past against other Div II teams like SE Louisiana, or Jacksonville State 3 years ago, that our teams didnt dominate like we did last weekend. I think the talent is in place to win games like this one against a mediocre Auburn team.

.. and peeps get up for the game. Last saturday I felt good about auburn .. today, not at all.

Today, I'm thinking that we have too many inexperienced players (Chris Relf, Charles Mitchell, Damien Anderson, Chad Bumphis, O'Neal Wilder, and Broccoli) in positions that are critical to pull out the W ... plus, it's in Auburn ... at 6 o'clock ... on the road, in the SEC, at night.

pretty much the same Louisiana Tech team that beat us last year. They had almost 600 yards of offense. People were really not counting on that, and some even expected Tech to win the game. Its a night game, on the road, at one of the tougher SEC venues. I would feel alot better if this game were in Starkville, but its not.
