I will probably regret this because it pertains to politics or religion. The earliest manuscripts from the Book of Mark end much earlier and do not contain such chapters as those advocating the handling of poisonous snakes or the drinking of poison without harm.

Since Mark was the shortest book of the New Testament it is suspected that early Gnostics added the latter chapters in their opposition to Christ.

Matthew 4:5
Finally, the devil took Jesus to Jerusalem and had him stand on top of the temple. The devil said, "If you are God's Son, jump off. The Scriptures say: 'God will tell his angels to take care of you. They will catch you in their arms, and you will not hurt your feet on the stones.' "

Jesus answered, "The Scriptures also say, 'Don't try to test the Lord your God!' "

Please do not respond to this comment. Your beliefs are your own and so are mine.

So you google. So you cut and paste. Why would you possibility post such an inflammatory post and ask for no comments. Thick.

Rootmaster’s old lady is a professional snake handler

Handles my snake all the time.
But has the tendency to turn a docile snake into a spitting cobra

Yes, I Googled, but I knew exactly where to look and I didn't want to get one word wrong. Regardless of your religion or politics, why do we have to 'test' each other?

If I have a good relationship with my God, why should I worry about you and yours? I don't care who you voted for, why would anyone care who I voted for?

If we're both Mountaineer fans, does it matter if my hat is gold trimmed in blue and your is blue trimmed in gold? If we're on opposite sides of the stadium and you yell, "Let's go!" I'm going to answer "Mountaineers!"

We disagree quite often, but we both want the same things in life. If I saw a T-shirt with Rootmaster on it I would approach you. And hand you a beer. When I was in the FBI Academy in Quantico Va. I went to a nice motel to book a room for my family coming to watch me graduate. There was a mother and daughter working the front desk. As I approached I couldn't make out what the daughter said in frustration, but I clearly heard the mother say, "Honey, don't sweat the petty stuff, just pet the sweaty stuff!" She was right. 26 years ago.

I suppose you and the elders at the Slagheap Hollow Snake Handlers Church don't consider Catholics Christians either? Did you guys ever move your services from that WW1 surplus tent yet?
I don't even know where slagheap hollow is. And no Catholics are Christians. They worship Mother Mary and not the true God.

You can call me names and pretend and lie about whatever you want if it makes you feel like a man in some way. But you really need to educate yourself on those that follow man and those that worship Christ.

Now run along and play with your little friend KingFold.

So now you're anti Catholic ad well as anti Morman. I thought you snake handlers from Slagheap Hollow were more inclusive than that.

No I'm just obsessive compulsive. It's too late for me to evolve, I'm just multi faceted in a sometimes almost contradictory way. We all have three personas. A public persona, that which you reveal to people know in a casual or professional manner. A private persona, the things you share with those close to you like your moral beliefs. Then there is your secret persona, passing thoughts and sometimes even dreams that make you go, "WTF?" Those are things you share with no one.

Sometimes my private persona spills over into my public persona, like using my real name and pictures on here, and sharing facts about myself that I really should keep to myself.

You just had to get me started. You think you guys get tired of my ramblings? I have to put up with it all the time!

There is no way anyone who has followed this forum would ask that question...unless...unless...they already know the answer.
Root, I've only been on here 7 years. Am I supposed to recognize the initials of everyone? I'm not going to spend half an hour going through members that you have argued with just find out who pissed you off. I'm no spring chicken, I'd be much better off taking a nap. No offense.

CFE has at least 20 years on you, maybe even 25. He usually posts right after a long nap, converting his dreams about simpler times, leather helmets, peach baskets, and faux national championships to print.

I'd rather fight both of you at the same time, so that it would be a fair fight. When I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you. Don't ever think that I would take orders from a fraudulent geezer, such as yourself. Oh, and "hiding behind a screen" so says the fraud with 30+ profiles. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

When did this come down to theology? But since we are here, Christianity is based upon Judaism. Christianity does not rewrite Judaism, but rather postulates that the Kingdom of God as noted in Judaism is in essence not an earthly or physical kingdom, but rather a spiritual one. That spiritual kingdom was created with the Messianic prophecy of Judaism being fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

There are plenty of Christian denominations with various interpretations, but for foundation must be consistent for them to be Christians. I personally feel Catholics err too much on legalism and creating hierarchies with Saints, Popes, and Mother Mary. However, Catholics are Christians in they do not completely rewrite Judaism AND they hold the belief in the divinity of Christ.

Mormons invoke the name of Christ, however their fundamental beliefs are based upon a complete rewriting of Judaism and conjecture without any proof. And before some purists talk about lack of proof in in the Bible I am referring to the fact that at least Judaism and the Old Testament refer to kingdoms we know exist such as Babylon and Egypt. Whereas the Book of Mormon has conjecture about the true Isreal being in the Americas and that white people were there before Europeans ever discovered the land. Also Christ's story in Mormonism goes beyond the crucifixion which is unlike any other sect of Christianity. All that being said, Mormonism has actually been mostly positive for its followers and society. Nothing is perfect, but the teachings make for good neighbors and communities. So while saying that Mormons are not Christians in the same way Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics, etc... are is not disparaging or condemning them as evil.

However, Mormonism is like Islam in that a singular person contradicts the basics of the 39 books of Judaism/Old Testament as well as the 27 of the New Testament which were written across multiple generations and by multiple authors. No matter what your stance on Religion is, there is a difference between a set of beliefs whose fundamentals are based upon multiple accounts across multiple generations and a set of beliefs whose fundamentals are based upon a singular person creating them over a blip of history.

Telling his lies once again
So says the pathological liar exposed for having 25+ profiles by the site owner. Oh, and for lying about being a Texas fan, as he posts every morning from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a WVU message board. Yeah, all Texas fans do that...

P.S. Keep crying for help from other posters, fraud, as I'm crushing you on here, as usual.
