Why the delay from Slive?

I'm going with him attempting to leverage lower fines into something from us, possibly help on the Newton crap. 'Course, I tend to be a little bit of a black helicopter guy.

How does the media react? Will it be "You mean you fine the school that broke the news on the pay for play fiasco and that didn't cheat? How is that setting a precedent? You fine State for tradition that was obviously brought under control at the end of the season and sit cam newton for two hours?". Or "So what it was against the rule, now back to Cam and street agents."

I seem to recall that when the 'compromise' was first reached at the AD meeting last year they indicated that they would announce the fines when they reconvened this year. Slive is a dirty SOB but I don't think there's any cloak and dagger business going on w/ the fines... yet.
