Why the hell does Benock see the floor?

to recover a bad pass. And I think that was while we were staving off that Kentucky run. That was a huge play in the game.

but he looked like a damn idiot in the OM game. He was running around the floor, 6 feet behind his man the whole damn game. And we kept letting him do that. Worse defense ever. Ever.

Ever.

Ever.

but rarely does anyone ever cite anything he does wrong in particular. He is not Michael Jordan, but he's solid enough to give the starters a breather.

There have been a couple of instances where leads have significantly diminished with him on the floor, but no widespread pattern of it occurring. Considering that so much of the subbing occurs in groups and State may be playing 3/5 or 4/5 of a second unit against the opponent's starters, I think it is mathematically hard to pin down any of the second unit players as being inadequate.

That being said, he made a huge save on an errant pass in the 2nd half near half court when UK already had a ton of momentum.

Except for when Meeks just drifted right past him for the open basket. Benock didnt even know what had happened till after Meeks scored.

He sees the floor because we start 4 guards and have 6 total. So there are 2, Benock and Beckham, on the bench to fill in when the starters are resting.

Find a better perimeter option on the bench and ill be all for Benock sitting.

We have no other players to bring in. Hell, earlier in the year, he was constantly bouncing the ball off his leg or head and letting passes hit him in the chest and bouncing to the defenders and I couldn't figure out why he was in the game until I looked at our bench. We just have no one to put in for him. Now, he does have a good game every once in a while, but they are few and far between...
