Why the late Sunday start times?

How long has the NCAA scheduled round of 32 Sunday start times as late as the ones yesterday? My memory sucks, but I remember most Sunday round of 32 games being over by 9:00.

Asked for the prime time basketball slots so they could recharge their batteries for an upcoming Law & Order marathon.

I've actually been searching for a statement from the NCAA

to hear the reasoning. I mean only two tips before 5:00 makes it tough on players and fans who need to go to class or work on Monday.

There must a statement from the NCAA somewhere.

Not only the late start and getting back to Morgantown at 3-4 in the morning. But ky will have an extra day of rest and time to prepare. The ncaa scheduling format makes no sense. Teams in the same region should play the same day.

I think it began last year. On Sunday all games were over by 7 pm. And then you could drive home. This schedule now makes you take another day off and spend another night in a hotel.
