Stansbury will only **** the bed and we might not make the tourney. A change right now might motivate the team enough to do something. Remember Steve Fisher with Michigan? He won the whole damn thing with interim as his title.

I would love to see them let a guy like Shane Power finish out the year coaching these guys while we search for a permanent head coach, just to see what would happen. Then maybe the new coach could keep him as an assistant. Shane knows bball, in fact, Stans could learn a few tips just by following Shane Power on twitter.

And how do you think the presumably lame duck assistants would feel about that?

I think it's a bad idea. The situation at Michigan was totally different- Fisher was an assistant on the Michigan team already. If we went that route, the logical thing for us to do is make Phil Cunningham the head coach. And that's probably what would happen.

I think you would be putting Shane Power in a really bad position.

And who knows how the players would respond- odds are we won't replace Stansbury with Shane Power, so I don't see why anyone on the team would respect him and odds are the players will go wild.
