Why we win tonight...

We are going to win tonight. The way the media and fans talk about this Bama team is just ridiculous. They CANNOT be as good as they were when they had Mark Barron, Trent Richardson, Dre Kirkpatrick etc. We ARE better than we were last year. WAY better. When we win, it will NOT be a monumental upset. We are a 17ing SEC team for Tebow's sake, not some directional school. I'm extremely confident our team is going to come out and punch these mother17ers in the mouth tonight like they haven't been punched before. And when Bama turns it over or gives up a big play, this will be running through my mind...

17 a bowl game! 17 Bama!

I hope you're right.....However, our DL is not better than it

was last year and the match up of our DL versus their OL is what bothers me......If they can run the ball on us, it's gonna be a long night.....I think our only chance is to stack the box and play a lot of single coverage on their WR's and hope our DB's play the games of their lives......

Watching how tennessee gashed us on the run, I have that uneasy feeling that will be our undoing in this game.

Your point is a good one. They are human. They are not invincible. Talent prevails most of the time. But not always. Sometimes courage, perseverance, character, and relentless effort can turn the tide. And that's what you have to do when the odds are against you. You have to make your opponent question their plan, their ability, and their inner self. It doesn't always happen, rarely even...but it can. It takes a great performance on your part, usually some luck, and the ability to handle adversity when it comes your way.

I say I believe not because I think we should win, but because more than any other MSU team or staff I can remember, this team and staff seem to have the right mindset to win this type of uphill battle. It's a mental war too. The physical nature of anything is the primary component. But it is not everything. This is why upsets happen and momentum swings...the mental.

Is it bandwagon to believe? Not for me. I do believe. I believe our team is mentally strong enough to overcome.

Go dogs. I believe 8-0.

I think (I hope) Mullen is looking at this as a challenge of his coaching ability. Saban is a stubborn bastard and I would love to see Dan outthink the SOB. Game Day dropped an interesting statistic today about Saban having never won at home against a 6-0 or better team. Hopefully that streak keeps rolling...
