Seeing Housel, Portera, and Slive there, I'm sure the LT Center of Self Glorification is a suck up to the SEC in some way.

I wish Dr Z would have scooted his chair back real quick and caught ole Lar in the ball with the handle.

One of the SEC croonies of LT called all the schools and had all the AD's sign a helmet and sent to the center as a parting gift for LT.
Im gonna post a photo album of the LT center later hopefully when I get some time.

I don't see the SEC seal hanging on that backdrop, therefor I see no reason to have other teams helmets present. That is a prime example of the LT mindset. Inexcusable. & that old **** should not fly anymore

It would be different if we were hosting a SEC function on campus

I hope Byrne can squash this mindset

Since you weren't there obviously..and this pic doesn't show the whole display. You don't realize that you know not what you speak of.
It's a horrible pic, but It's LT addressing the crowd. On the shelves are all 12 of the SEC's helmets (East on Left, West on Right) and an SEC Helmet on top of the Left display. MSU white helmet on top of the right.

Is it a SEC event that was held on my campus, in behalf of the SEC ? If so, then by all means let us promote all the teams of the SEC, b/c then there would be a good chance that multiple members of the SEC institutions are in attendance.

But, if it is a event to honor LT's retirement, or his new "wasted space" office, then, if I was the retiring athletic director, I would come to the podium w/ a trash can, place all the other teams helmets in the trash can, place the MSU helmet front & center, & state that everything looks better now. But that is just me.

& I know nothing about the situation surrounding this gathering

& while I bash on LT, I do also believe that he has some value to MSU, not much, but some

Beyond that, I simply do not see any reason for opposing teams helmets to be displayed on campus.

Again, just my opinion, as I tend to favor MSU

Here is why I don't like it.........

Saddawg back in his recruiting days, a conversation.

Coach Saddawg: Hey, Jamal, how's it going. I'm Coach Saddawg from XYZ U.

Jamal: Hey, Co', sup?

CS: Not much, big guy, saw your film. Really impressed. Just touching base to see how it's going and trying to get you here for a visit.

Jamal: Yeah,man, sho'.

CS: Good. Listen , who are you looking at now?

Jamal: Les' see. Right now ,Flarda, Clemsin, Jaw Tech, and 'Tucky.( Side note: Jamal was maybe talented enough to play at State or Ole Miss, maybe)

CS: Ok listen, you got any time you might be open to come here for a visit.

Jamal: On know,Co'. I be pretty busy.

CS: Yeah?

Jamal: Yea, man, my Momma be staying on me about getting my books. Grades an **** be important to her.

Cs: Good man. Your Momma sounds like a smart lady. Listen, we got a home game against ABC U Saturday. Why don't you come over for a visit?

Jamal: Ya'll playin' ABC? **** main, I fo' sho' be there fo' that. Thas pra' where I end up and be playing. They helmets is tight as f#*k.

CS: Helmets?!

Jamal: Yea man, they tha ****.

I can just see some braniac like Jamal coming in the LT Center as a recruit and going somewhere else because he sees one of those other team helmets and thinks " they tight as ****."

MSU helmet is actually visible. One thing, though. Why are the east teams on the left, and west teams on the right? That's not how it would look on a map. Not a big deal I guess, but I would have placed them the other way around.</p>
