We are recently retired so income going forward is significantly reduced. Bulldog club contribution, season football tickets, parking pass, etc, etc, cost me significantly more than $5K per year. Been a life time supporter, but I am so sick of this crap that I could just puke. If Moorehead is back next year, give me one good reason WHY I should write those checks in 2020. Football season was always my favorite time of year but now thanks to Moorehead I will just be glad when it is over.

He will be back. You’ll feel better when we bowl and possibly win 7. You’ve apparently been around a while so you know the drill....you’ll continue to be a lifer...

I’m retired and had season tkts 24 years and dropped this year. Tired of getting home after 1 a.m.(5 times last year)..
With both our kids and grandkids in TX we can see them more.
It’s not about the money and I do love MSU but we do miss seeing friends. That’s our biggest downside.

Back in the 1960’s I saw things that were so horrible from a football perspective that our modern day fans just can’t imagine but even then I thought that our under manned players and coaches gave maximum effort. I can’t say that today. The leadership provided by Moorehead and his staff is a complete and total failure. I also thought that games were won and Lost on the field and not controlled with a predetermined outcome from the SEC front office. The SEC has proven to me over and over in the last few years that it is corrupt and protects certain teams in certain games. I live within 30 miles of campus so that is not an issue. I Long for the days where this was fun even when we were not winning but those days are gone, at least for now. Whether I will write those checks in 2020 remains to be seen but I am certainly closer than ever to being done. My greatest hope is that our administration reads this board and will see that we are at a turning point with many that support our program.

You must mean punting on third down? Playing for the breaks? Hoping to beat the point spread? Settling for moral victories?

all of the above and much much more but I will never forget the day that we kicked a field goal late in the game to defeat the Richmond Spiders 17-14 ending our rein as having the longest losing steak in the nation. Must have been somewhere around 1967. The goal post came down that day. Must have been at least 15,000 on hand that day, similar to what we will see next year if Joevester hangs around.

OM will definitely be up for the game particularly if we are 5-6 with a chance to go to a bowl. I'm prepared for a loss.

I'm looking at ACU scores from this season so far, I'm not sure we are a lock to beat them. They put up points, something we have trouble doing with an offensive Mastermind at the helm, but wait he's a players coach, what am I thinking.

Well, If you are so sick of this "crap", why didn't you do something about it prior to retirement and Moorhead. This is the exact same trend under Mullen.

Either you want that cycle to end or you don't. So far, this staff has shown they are trying to end the roller coaster effect we had under Mullen.

I don’t think I’ll be renewing my season tickets next year if Joe is still the head coach. I’m just not excited about watching our football team right now. We don’t have an identity and we play with no sense of urgency and that starts with the head coach.

We have had 2 losing seasons since 2008. In both of those years, I think you could point to positive things to feel good about for the future. I’m not really sure what makes me feel good about the future right now and it makes me sick that we have to wait until Joe completely bottoms out until we fire him.

You and I must’ve ridden on different roller coasters because I remember Mullen making a bowl game every year except his first. I also remember wondering if this team was going to come out ready to play in a given week the last two seasons. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Up and down. Kind of like, you know...a roller coaster

Explain what cycle and roller coaster you are talking about under Mullen?

And in the process, he had to do so under the same circumstances. In 2016... we went to a bowl with a losing record.

Either we address the roster issues that Mullen put us in, and recruit better or continue the cycle. We will barely make a bowl and have to win the last game, be better the next year, compete the following and then back to square one OR.... we break the cycle and recruit better and stay steady.

And what about joe has given you reason to thing he’s going to “break the cycle”?

When you look at the history of Mullen at MSU, you will see that we had years that we had to win the last game in order to make a bowl. Then we had years that were average. Then a year where we were a little better than average. That is a cycle of every 2 to 3 years. That all revolved around the recruiting.

Right now, you are in that cycle. You need proof....?? Name me all of the Sr DTs or JR Dts.... or SO Dts....

For the Moorhead offense, you have to elevate the passing game. Name me the NFL talent Mullen had AT the WR position. See what I mean?

You can not expect that to change over night. I'm not against Mullen. That was his "method". Anybody can look at that.. it's in the records.

I’m in a ticket group of 6. Everyone in my group has already said they’re not renewing next year. We are all young, recently married, and live out of town. It’s a lot to ask for us to come every weekend like we have the past couple years to see us get our teeth kicked in. The crowds could be really depressing next season

The commitments in the passing game. His report with recruits. Mullen had 1 decent recruit at WR...a 4 star from the #1 ranked season. Why? Because they all knew Mullen's system did not require great WRs (name the ones in the NFL from Mullen here). I mean... we could not get a kid from STARKVILLE due to the fact that we were not that type of offense.

That's not... I repeat.... NOT a knock on Mullen. His system worked for him. Had he recruited better and managed his roster better, he might have ended up with better results here.

Moorhead has more 4 star recruits signed/committed here in his short time than Mullen in the past 5 years.

The passing game is already beyond what we had with Mullen and his last few years. Now we need to take more steps, but either we take the time to do that.... or we can create an environment like UT and Ark...

Maybe Joe hires a few new assistants to include an offensive coordinator. That could possibly lead to a better product on the field next year and save his job. Some intense bastard needs to force that to happen.

People will buy tickets on the open market if Moorhead will give them a reason to. Season ticket sales will take a big hit though. That horse has left the barn. If it's more of the same ridiculously bad product early on, DWS will be a ghost town by mid season Saturdays next year
